Alex the host waiter and sommelier was attentive and v knowledgeable about the wine and food issues - it was a Monday night so slightly quiet but a nice interior to the building - all in all if you like pasta and beef dishes then a good venue

This was the only restaurant on our two week trip that made special accommodations for our honeymoon (I put it in the notes of every reservation) our server, Alex, was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Both the pasta and the steak were fantastic. This was the best dinner we had in Florence.

This was one of the most wonderful dining experiences since moving to Firenze! The staff, service, ambiance, and menu were fabulous! We Celebrated our wedding anniversary and they made this a very special evening. Thank you Boccanegra. We will return!

From the staff to the quality of the food it was a lovely evening that could not have been better. We arrived as a family of 3 with our 8 year old daughter and were immediately put at ease, with also helpful recommendations for the food. Every dish was memorable and added to the evening, with the quality options for wine (also including a quick visit to their wine cellar, which if you get the chance is well worth it). Overall really enjoyable and would love to go back next time we visit Florence..

We arrived and were eventually seated once eye contact was made! Then left for 40 minutes without drinks or our order taken. Twice we had to ask for dishes that people in our party of 6 had ordered but not arrived , the waiting staff seemingly unaware that people were sitting with no food and others had received theirs. We ordered a white wine and received a rose albeit it was very nice. Need I say more? .

This restaurant was a complete rip-off. Their efforts to present a fine dining experience are overshadowed by the fact that it is has outside seating on a sidewalk. We were overcharged greatly for a half litre bottle of Chianti and a Neapolitan steak. The bill, when we received it, was a complete shock. The steak was undercooked - sorry, but medium rare isn’t rare, there’s a difference - and we had to send it back to have it done properly. In the end, I had buyer’s remorse for going there. We wanted a special meal on our last night in Florence, but a meal for two people should not cost Can $255, which is what it came to. Your booking site should indicate the average price more accurately.

The steak was cooked to perfection: crispy and golden on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside, with a rich, intense flavor that simply melted in our mouths. It wasn’t just a dish; it was a true Tuscan culinary masterpiece. Additionally, the sommelier chose the perfect wine to accompany the steak, elevating the flavors and creating an impeccable harmony between the food and the drink.

Came to this place due to the good reviews. We usually prefer non touristy places and, unfortunately, this place was full of tourists. Food was good but nothing special. Service was lovely but the ambiance was lacking. So many better places to eat in Florence.

Overall, the food was great but I would love for a highly regarded Florentine steakhouse to have top notch EVO to pair with their steak. However, it seems that most places (not just in Florence) have complete disregard for the freshness and quality of their olive oil. It's a worldwide phenomena. All that being said, the food was delicious and the service was adequate. Thanks.
