8/10Overall, the food was great but I would love for a highly regarded Florentine steakhouse to have top notch EVO to pair with their steak. However, it seems that most places (not just in Florence) have complete disregard for the freshness and quality of their olive oil. It's a worldwide phenomena. All that being said, the food was delicious and the service was adequate. Thanks.

10/10Nestled away from the bustling tourist traps -Boccanegra is a delightful restaurant that offers interior and exterior seating. Known for their Tbine steak (which does not disappoint) they have a variety of dishes. Our server Daniel was excellent!

10/10+4This restaurant had great ambiance and food everyone in our family enjoyed! We had reservations and sat inside, it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We dressed casually and fit in just fine. There was a station near us where the meat/cheese/crostini trays were being assembled and fresh meat being sliced and placed directly on trays. We enjoyed our pasta, pizza & Florentine steak and would recommend this place as a restaurant that'll please the whole family!

9/10The food was fantastic and the service was good. Given that we had booked I had expected to have a good table reserved, as it was we were given a table which was put across an entrance door with the menu and public ashtray right next to our table with only a window separating us from passers by, very off putting!

6/10The food in the restaurant (Osteria part) was good but we found the pricing to be somewhat out of balance. We asked for a Pinot Grigio (bottle) and while at first it seemed clear at the end of our order the waitress asked which Pinot Grigio. That was a bit odd as it seemed there was only one. When the wine arrived she asked if I wanted to taste, the taste was fine but the wine was not chilled at all. When I asked her to chill it before pouring she still wanted the pour our first glass. If you look at many of the photo's of this restaurant (and its dishes) one expects that the waitress knows how a Pinot Grigio is supposed to be served. We sat in a kind of in-between area that didn't have much ambiance, so it depends on luck where you're seated. As we booked with Fork (incl €50 discount) I expected that to be off the bill at the end of the meal. Unfortunately I still had to ask for it to be taken off. It was no problem, so they took it off. But again, with more attention to detail the score would be higher

8/10Although I had a confirmed booking via The Fork, they had no record of it. They only (after a lot of pressure) were willing to offer us a table but not in the main area at all. As it was our last night and we only chose this place as it was recommended for excellent Florentine Steak, we were not prepared to go and search for another place to eat. Under normal circumstances as they didn’t know anything about our booking and weren’t very helpful until we insisted, I would have happily walked out and spent our €100 elsewhere.
