We booked the restaurant for two for our first night in Rome and when we turned up we were told the restaurant was full as they had just taken a booking of 18 so they gave us a table in the takeaway section at the front next to the door. After 10 minutes of cigarette smoke in our face and two feet away from really noisy children shouting waiting for their food to take away we got up and left. So no idea what the food was like

This was our first meal in Rome, and would really set the tone of this trip. We got an excellent introduction what we should order. Our antipasti were the scamorza con prosciutto, and I had the bruschette selection because it was recommended it would give me a taste of what to expect from the pasta. Excellent choices both, and after the bruschette it was clear to me I had to order the wonderful cacio è pepe. My wife followed the recommendation to eat the eggplant parmigiani. According to her, it was the single best dish she ate while we were in Rome, high praise. If I have one complaint, it was a bit chilly in the restaurant, and my cacio è pepe was cold very quickly. But it still tasted wonderful! Would definitely come again.

Glad we had a reservation, the place was hopping, but we got seated in a semi-quiet corner right away. The waiter was really attentive despite how busy it was. We had polpette (meatballs) for an appetizer, then two chicken mains, one a traditional Roman dish with red sweet peppers and olives, and one a warm salad with grapes and a simple red sauce. All the food was fairly simple but very delicious, and good sized portions too.

The service started off with a good waiter then it went to hell when we got handed off to another server. No attention to providing service. Error after error and seriously should be in another industry. Unfortunate as food was decent.

What a unique restaurant, our food was absolutely superb! I had the potato & mushroom soup followed by the artichoke salad, the salad was so fresh and delicious, just the perfect amount of everything and the soup was some of the best I have ever had and I am a huge soup fan! Really great dinner!

We arrived in Rome, looking for a quiet restaurant with excellent food and excellent service, after a long flight from Canada. Tomasso provided excellent service, allowed us to test a few wine options. The red sauce meat pasta was out of this world. The dessert selection was excellent . We go back here for sure.

We had booked this table for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and the whole experience was amazing. Our waiter was courteous (we don’t speak Italian), knowledgable and attentive. The food was out of this world, well presented and the Aperol and cocktails were delicious. Just a wonderful evening from start to finish.

Oct 4 2023. I ordered the truffle pasta and my husband ordered the Margherita pizza. I am so sorry to report that the pasta had no flavour- I was so disappointed because it was the more costly pasta dish- almost no truffle flavour. My husband’s pizza also had no flavour and it was very mushy. The ambience is nice, we sat indoors at corner by wall. We wanted to love it, but could not:(

We had one night in Rome before we had to move on and we found this restaurant which was close to our hotel but also picked it because of the reviews. What a great choice. The meal was excellent and the service was excellent. Would not hesitate to go back there.

Great food, great service and a cool intimate vibe. Pizza and pasta dishes were both exquisite, with real attention to detail. Interesting and varied menu, great selection of wines, and reasonable prices. Best place we’ve eaten in Rome. Note: The Fork’s map location is wrong - it’s about 100m further up Via Cavour towards the station (use Google maps)
