5/10First and foremost...you need to make a reservation(which is right) "we made a reservation at around 10.30am,they asked for a credit card,and an email received says that I have time to cancel the reservation till 10am🤨. If I cancel after 10am an amount of 25€ per person would be charged from the credit card. When we arrived at the restaurant the maitre welcomed us and told us to go on the 3rd floor(directing us unpolitedly). The waiter that served us too!!bFood was good but not exceptional. Not worth it. Pricey!!! I would not recommend this place to a friend. Unfortunately I discovered places much better than this too late

The ambiance, service, food and wine quality were remarkable. This restaurant is a must stop whenever in Madrid. I recommend the lunch service in particular as truly standing out relative to other lunch options.

2/10It is ran like a factory. Everything is premaid before they open their doors at 8pm and everyone goes in at the same time and is served at the same time. The entire experience was impersonal and disappointing!

We came with high expectations, food was ok, the suckling pig was to the standard. But the service was unexpectedly bad. Our server was unfortunately not happy to give us service other than leaving us dirty plates. And for this experience he asked for tip.

10/10It’s what you’ve heard. Great food, the suckling pig and the cheese cake are well worth the trip. Then on top of that, you have the service. Top notch, attention to detail, extremely professional. Shout out to Paco, elevated the entire dining experience. Then there’s the history, you must tour the kitchen and the underbelly of the restaurant. Staff is super friendly and obviously take pride in working here.

9/10The oldest restaurant in the world. And it has realy good food. Bit expensive though and they try to do the tusitic thing of asking for a a 10 to 20% tip. That is not done in Spain, sorry . But a middle ages ambience and good service.

This place is recognized for its 300+ years that it has been open. The history is amazing and also the location. However, as for the food we went there July 2025 and although the food was not bad it was very expensive for what they serve. My mom order “langostines” and they only served 6 shrimps. First, those were not what we were expecting and second they brought only 6 for 28 euros! We had almost a $200 bill for plates that were more appetizers than an actual entree. We had to pay for dinner later that day again because this restaurant its just about name. I think it is nice but people need to know that what the menu says does not balance what they serve. Thank you.

10/10My husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and wanted to be special. Eating at the oldest restaurant in the world was an amazing experience that we will remember forever. Restaurant was very cute, food was great and the service was excellent. The restaurant is very popular and had to make my reservations well in advance.

7/10The service and ambience were great. However, the quality of the food was not good. The lamb was ok, but the cochinillo was too dry and too old. It was not a a real little pig, was more like a big old guy already. The drinks was too expensive. The best were the cremas Catalana. I will not go back.

it was a historic place to go to but I'm not only could I not use the fork in the restaurant but I could not tap my phone to pay as there was no mobile and there was no internet access in the restaurant. it is a good thing I brought cash
