6.5/10Food is average, service is good and ambience is seems to be average too. You will get a good service however the food and ambience is something that you could get in another restaurant in Madrid. They charge you for everything including bread and butter or olive oil if you wan it. Will not come back

5.5/10While the experience and historical significance were worth a single visit, the food was underwhelming and the service felt robotic. Throughout the meal, it seemed as though the server was minimizing interaction and effort, creating the impression that I was being rushed out. Overall, it was very much a “turn-and-burn” experience.

7.5/10The suckling pig is wonderful. Not as juicy as before but the skin was still crispy. Service felt like they were doing you a favor. A little too aggressive asking for a tip when they brought the bill. Great to say we went there once but doubt we will go back unless we have tourists visiting with us.

This surpassed our expectations. Huge shout out to Jose, who took such good care of us and made sure we saw the wine cellar and oven before we left. The cheesecake is the best I’ve ever had. Period.

10/10Such an amazing experience. We were prepared for it to be super touristy and inauthentic and we were pleasantly surprised. The building was in great shape, a perfect blend of modern amenities with original charm. The food was traditional Spanish hearty fare but delicious and filling. The staff was fantastic and made the whole experience that’ much better. I’d highly recommend a meal here on a trip to Madrid.

It's worth going just for the ambiance. There are much more delicious places in Madrid. The musicians spent more time asking for tips on the floor than performing. The waiter appeared once and asked for a tip when collecting the bill, despite a 10% service charge. We ordered what was said to be their most delicious dish, and the four of us left the place hungry.

3/10This was the worst dining experience after visiting over 20 European countries, marked by disgraceful service at the 300-year-old Botín. The incident began when staff spilled a full glass of Sangria onto my wife's white dress. The reaction was shocking: instead of a sincere apology, the staff member showed zero concern, simply saying, "Just give us the laundry bill, we will pay that," and quickly left. This profound lack of human concern stunned everyone. Speaking to the manager brought no improvement; management only repeated the offer to pay the laundry bill, gave a memento, and seemed eager for us to leave. This dismissive handling constitutes a failure in customer service. It is a big shame for a historic establishment to display such a "one-star service attitude." Having read previous negative reviews suggesting Botín does not treat Asian guests well, we now regretfully understand and agree. This unprofessional and indifferent service is a disgrace.

10/10The atmosphere and dining experience was on point. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was a true experience. We had a wide variety on our table. Helpful tip- you need to make reservations well in advance. Time slots gets taken pretty fast.

6/10I have been there for the 3rd time now. In 2023 the food was good, bit this time…their specialties were disappointing. Especially the pork, which was tough, chewy, and the crust was inconsistent—crispy in some places, chewy in others. The lamb was slightly better, but still not at the level expected from a restaurant ( to be the oldest one) Compared to previous visits, it was simply a letdown.

+1Suckling pig, garlic soup, cheese cake and sangria are all very impressive. One of the most satisfying meal we had in Spain. Can't wait for our next trip to Spain and visit Botin one more time.

I arrived about 2.5 hours early for my reservation and they were unable to accommodate me at that time, About 45 minutes before my reservation the Host came out to let me know he had a table for me. Do not miss the roast suckling pig or the cheesecake.
