Location is superb, restaurant itself very authentic, food is good even if my expectations were not completely satisfied. Service needs to be looked after, in my opinion what really misses in this restaurant is the typical Spanish warm and friendly service. Excellent the entertainment with a group of excellent musicians playing Spanish traditional songs(even if I think they were not linked with the restaurant)

Like any restaurant that has become a destination, Botin was a mixed bag. The house specialty of suckling pig was excellent. The croquettes were also very good. The rest of the menu was average to good. If you wind up in one of the main dining rooms, then you will have a more enjoyable experience. We were in a small dining room that is only accessible by walking through two kitchens. The maitre d'hotel did a really good job of seating us, as we were delayed in arriving for our reservation, and that was greatly appreciated. The house does a fine job and so do the waiters.

The server seemed bothered we were there, wasn't friendly or communicative at all. He left for the day during our meal without so much as a thank you or instructions on who would be finalizing our order. We sat for 35 minutes waiting for the bill to pay before we finally had to ask a different server why we were being ignored. That's when we found out our server left. We were very excited to go to Botin, the server ruined the experience of going to a world landmark. No reason for an attitude when dealing with the public.

This is the second time I have had lunch at this restaurant, the first time was with my wife and the third time was with my son. Having a specialty in a historic restaurant was a great experience. I would like to visit again with my family.

It’s Botin! The food is good but not stellar. On the suckling pig side, I think that Jose Maria in Segovia is a full measure ahead! If you have never eaten at Botin, you have to do it once. It’s the hardest reservation to get

I liked really much the food, the wine and the building. The food is different from everything I ate in Madrid. You can fell, however the popularity of the restaurant, there are a lot of tables spread in a small space, it may become uncomfortable at moments. The experience was totally rewrading :)

Food was good to very good. Restaurant is very cramped. We were a party of 12 but you could barely move. The service was incredibly rushed. We were one of the last seatings in the afternoon but I felt rushed the whole time.

We were placed inside the kitchen. We had to passby the kitchen itself. Not a good experience for us. The slices of cochinillo were getting smaller by day than when we first visited. This is the 2nd time around and not much impressed by the serving vs pricing. It’s just the thought of eating at the world’s earliest restaurant. Nothing more!

This is one of the best restaurant we ever had! We were greeted pleasantly by the staff and the service was very quick. The waiter also gave us recommendations on how we can save by ordering the set meal. If you will consider that this is already a prestigious restaurant, we were actually surprised! It definitely live up with the hype. The food, the ambience, the service, and experience are superb. You will have the best experience here! Pls get the cheesecake as well. This is the best cheesecake we ever had and the suckling pig is crispy and has an exquisite taste!

The whole experience is like a sausage factory, they push you in, feed you and push you out. The food was not all it was raved to be and was quite bland to be honest. They also served two small potatoes with the sickling pig and suckling lamb, so it was not value for money. Will not be going again.

A hype that did not live up to expectations at all. Avoid if possible. Among all meals we had in Madrid, including some random shops at street corners at 1/4 of cost, this was by far the worst. We all wondered how it survived all these years.

We were lucky enough to be able to visit with our son’s friends who just moved to Madrid the week before. They had heard about Botín also, so it was great to share this special opportunity with them. The lamb and pig were excellent, as was the Gazpacho soup. Certainly worth visiting when in Madrid and being the longest running restaurant in the world is a cool bucket list item.
