10/10We booked a late afternoon lunch and were afraid it would be empty that time of day. We are so glad we did. It is a beautiful building. I had the roasted suckling pig and it was fantastic. The salad and the gazpacho was crisp and refreshing. Would definitely recommend!

10/10Although this restaurant is very touristy, it is still an exceptional experience and the food and wine is still, after 300 years, fantastic. Book well in advance and have a fabulous time.

8.5/10Extraordinarily tender and flavorful spring lamb and suckling pig. Because it's so good, it's a very popular restaurant so the ambience is a little hectic. I'd still go again in a heartbeat.

10/10The senior manager was very gracious. Our reservation was for 11:15 pm. I walked in around 9:30 to see if we could get an earlier table. He told me to come back in an hour and sure enough they were able to sit us earlier. I was very impressed because they certainly remembered us and got us a very nice table. Service was superb and food (roast suckling pig was what we came for but we also ordered chicken fricasse, and the cheesecake was out of this world) was definitely outstanding. I suggest reserving way in advance to be able to get a table. Worth our second trip to Madrid!

7.5/10The architecture was interesting as it opened in 1725. We had 8p reservations ( dont try to come here without) and waited in line for the doors to open. It was very loud and bright, and I felt pushed to get an initial order in. The staff were very busy as everyone was let in at once. Menu looked good but food was just OK.

6.5/10More tourist attraction than restaurant in spite of its history? Food unremarkable - including the famed suckling pig. Very noisy and quite cramped. Pricey for quite ordinary food. You have, however, to congratulate them on their marketing.
