10/10After a long day walking the streets of Rome, we sat down to dinner at Bottega Tredici. We decided to try the Chef’s Choice tasting menu. After consulting with our server, Jacobo, we selected a bottle of Orange Wine, which we had never tried before. They brought out fresh bread with a tomato sauce, and then our tasting selections began: an amuse bouche of oxtail tacos, beef tartare topped with garlic and mushrooms. Next came grilled artichoke on a bed of puff pastry, topped with a parsley glaze, with dots of garlic aioli. Next came Gnocchi Alla Amatriciana, with crunchy guanciale bits. Next was small macaroni in a cream sauce, followed by veal medallions and whipped potatoes. Each portion was small, but there were many! Desserts were blueberry sorbet on dark chocolate shavings, mango and passion fruit sorbet with white chocolate sauce to spread on warm sweetbread, and a petite four assortment. What a truly amazing meal prepared by the chef, with each dish described by Jacobo.

9/10Lovely, welcoming place where the servers enthusiasm for their food makes up for any limitations in the food. The food is good, but doesn't quite reach 5* with the exception of a few items: the tiramisu is by far the best I've had (I don't like mushy cookies, and this tiramisu has crispy cookies) with a deep, dark cocoa sprinkle that was wonderful. The other dish that we really enjoyed was the berry sorbet as a palate cleanser. Unfortunately, their "gnocchi" ends up being quite heavy on the dough and is the heartiest dish. These are truly small portions, but perfect for the tasting menu. The wine was excellent and a fair price, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, busy and cheerful. We would definitely eat here again but perhaps not order the tasting menu.

9.5/10My dinner at Bottega Tredici was the best meal I had during my three days in Rome. The crudo appetizer was so delicious and such a creative use of ingredients. And perfect Cacio Pepe. Truly delightful meal.

7.5/10Relatively quiet location close to our AirBnB. Food was beautifully presented and tasted good, but was nothing special. Service was good, if a bit perfunctory and rushed, relative to other meals in Italy.

4.5/10bad experience, too much waiting time even with a reservation, they made a mistake in what we ordered and served the dishes at the wrong time, causing my wife to have her food long before me and the entree arrived at the end of the order, good flavors, but bad experience.

5.5/104 of us had carbonara. 4 of us were very disappointed. Eggplant, octopus and lamb were hits. Waiter was arrogant and tried to overcharge us by putting a higher number in the credit card machine. Can’t recommend.

10/10This place was recommended to us by our friends. During last day of our Italy trip, we had a family lunch. It was a last chance for us to address our disappointment with the food that we had in Venice, Florence and Rome. This placed had made a turnaround of our opinion that touristic places in Italy do not offer good food. In short, everything was 10 out of 10! I got a glass of Prosecco, Risotto, and as a desert tiramisu and an espresso. The hot bread with extra virgin olive oil and olive pasta were complemented by the restauraunt and were fantastic as starters.

8.5/10Nice little hideaway restaurant near the Jewish Ghetto. Although a limited menu, it's well rounded. Very restricted bar and wine list, but decent offerings. Enjoyable lunch with tasty food. The Spaghetti Carbonara was near perfection.

10/10Yesterday was the second time this week that I ate here. That in itself should say enough. A safe haven of culinary bliss in the middle of the ocean of mediocre tourist restaurants in this part of Rome. Love it.

7/10Unfortunately despite some excellent food, the service wrecked the overall experience. We were seated in the corner beside two large groups and largely ignored. When we did receive any attention it was rushed which was a real shame. With the two large groups beside us we could barely hear one another which was a shame considering we were extremely looking forward to dining and celebrating our final night in Rome.
