9/10Such a lovely restaurant. the food was great, especially the starters - we had prawns alijoli and the tomato and burrata salad, both excellent. I had the cod loin and my husband had the octopus. We had side dishes of gratinated artichoke and grilled lettuce hearts. My dish was very tasty. The artichoke was very good but the lettuce was just ok. My husband had the tiramisu which he loved. The waiting staff were all very attentive and friendly. Overall a really great evening.

8/10Delicious Steak Diane, cooked medium rare; the menu described it as au jus with mushrooms, but it was actually in an herbed cream sauce, which some might not intend to eat. You can't substitute rice in lieu of French fries, unless you pay full price for the substitute. My glass of wine finished off the bottle without it being a full pour; another bottle should always be opened and a full pour executed. These factors should be considered by any restaurant of this status and price-point. Two quite noisy tables were a bit distressing to other diners but there's nothing a restaurant can do about that!

10/10Went there on a solo date to spend my birthday and the whole experience was very enjoyable. The carpaccio was incredible, as well as the fish and the tiramisu. There is a huge selection of wines to pair each course, and I also tried one of their signature cocktails (White Truffle Negroni) which was remarkably nice

10/10I came for a small dish for my birthday and the service and staff were absolutely friendly and amazing. They even brought me a little cake. The interior and decoration of the restaurant is beautiful and stunning. It is my favorite restaurant in whole Portugal! Can only recommend! 😍😍

10/10We had a very nice, quiet and cozy dinner last night at Bougain. First time to sit inside, rather than the garden, and it was very warm. The Chateaubriand for two was done perfectly and was plenty for 3-4! Service was very attentive!

4/10Not equipped for winter. Indoor seating implies having to deal with an open door to the terrace, which the staff refuse to close despite there being an equally efficient exit 2 meters away. Clients sitting indoors are faced with strong heating and then chilling gusts of wind from the outside. This should be reviewed!

10/10We went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was the right pick in Cascais city center. The settings and surroundings are lovely, the food we ordered was spot on and the service team really should be congratulated ????????. No regrets and will return for dinner in the near future.

9/10This is definitely one of the most beautiful restaurant locations in the Cascais area. Service is super friendly and efficient. The food is very good, but for this price range, you would except a nicer and/or more original presentation of what you ordered. We ordered pieces of fish fillets, and got exactly this: a boring looking piece of fillet on an otherwise completely empty plate. All the sides have to be paid extra. Luckily the desserts are delicious and absolutely beautiful! So indulge in them!

4.5/10The food was very disappointing, nothing we ordered was even close to tasty. For the general good quality everywhere in Portugal this was way below average and expensive for what it was.

Hi Tina, We were sad to receive this feedback about food. The Burrata is one the top starters that many of our guests request as well as the Chateaubriand with the Bernaise sauce. We´ve tried to know if there was a problem with your dishes, but nothing was detected. We assume we can´t satisfy 100% everyone, but we work hard believing we can. We also assume that maybe there was a miss expectation about our menu or culinary offer. We hope to welcome you back in the future and change your perception about our food. Thank you
