6.5/10Usually I am never disappointed by a restaurant reviewed in the Michelin guide but here are indeed some exceptions. This restaurant is one of them. The quality and taste of the food was uneven. Some good stuff, others less but nothing exceptional. Service à la carte was extremely low and above all the menu doesnt list important details information. Would be nice to know the caviar is produced in Poland by a brand I didn’t know but still using names of re known brands. Only one selection of wine by the glass… and a few other details that stopped me from enjoying completely the experience

8/10Very good food but we were close to the door which kept opening and letting draft despite our requests to have it closed. Ask for table near window or back of the room. We were also close to the table where dishes were being served attending to disagreements and tensions between the waiters…. Our waiter was friendly but service was slow, place was noisy. I expected a bit more…..

4.5/10Sadly, Brugmann is not what it used to be. The food was good but far from exceptional. The service has clearly declined (waiters did not provide explanations to the menu options to our guests. The kids waited for 1.30h for their food and the adults had +40 min of wait between some of the menu dishes). There are better places in Brussels where to go to enjoy your meal.

4.5/10Disappointed. Noisy place. People talking loudly. The food was very fusion and deviated from the original. As a starter I ordered the foie gras de canard du sud-ouest farandole de boules magiques, but there was little flavor in the fois gras and the rest of the dish didn't please me. As a main course I had the magret de canard à l'orange, but the meat was overcooked and felt rubbery when chewed. The orange sauce was great, but I couldn’t eat the meat. I tried to exchange my dish with my friend's, but his was worse than mine so I didn't eat and left the restaurant hungry. I didn't dare to order a dessert as the first two courses left me unhappy. The service was good, but if the Italian lady who served us showed a smile every now and then it would have been nice. I don't know if I'll be back someday, but compared to the fine restaurants I usually go to in Brussels and London, Brugmann is a little behind and I think their chef could do better!

7/10We had the fixed Christmas menu at Brugmann on Christmas Day. There were 7 courses, so a lot of food and each course was very tasty. My partner is vegetarian and they offered him veggie options without any problems. The service was swift, and it being Christmas it was very busy - so our waiter sometimes forgot what we had already asked for (e.g. the wine)... It's not the food that disappoints, it's the service and overall design of the place. The staff are very friendly, but you can tell they're disorganised - e g. it was not clear who was in charge overall. For a place that wants to be silver service / high end Michelin style, you need to pay attention to detail: dress the same and professionally (so no trainers, no jeans, tuck in your shirts etc) - don't take a cigarette break and come to our table with horrible cigarette breath to explain the next course. Replace the service station / payment desk with something where the paint is not peeling. It's the little things that count at this level, especially when charging top €€ to your customers .

10/10Her birthday. Service was exceptional. The fish tartare with caviar was a dish that will be remembered and spoken about for years. So good.

10/10Amazing Food! Really good value for money. The place is very nice with a bar upstairs and a terrace. Had the menu for 65€ and it was super tasty. The Wine list has a good variety of French Wine.

5/10One of the starters has arrived cold. One of the mains was too salty. Service not attentive: the waiter was cleaning the table to serve dessert, got distracted and left, leaving a pile of dirty dishes in front of me. I got a chance to attract his attention 15 min later and ask to remove the dishes. Not everyone gets a briefing about the menu, so we couldn’t get an explanation on what the dishes actually are and what ingredients are used. Asked for one gin, got served another without any notice. Overall a bit disappointing experience as compared to the one we had previously.

8/10The Xmas menu was tasty and original. Well balanced and not heavy. Although the choices in the menu to avoid foie gras were limited which is a pity. The staff could be better for this type of venue. There is a lack of sophistication and xmas joy in the serving. All by all a great place for foodies.

8/10The meal was exquisite…extremely small as expected from French cuisine, however tasty! Missing continuity on the plates - same dishes without the same detail - bit disappointing! Some dishes lacked balance especially the Scallop carpaccio. Overall a memorable experience!

7/10We expected a lot but no proper wine pairing. The first courses had no twist and were rather boring. No Story to any course to understand the idea or matter of Taste. We visited quite some good restaurants but sadly this we will not go to again.

6.5/10The food is delicious, however if you get the menu the vegetarian option is quite poor. The service is disgusting, the lady serving our table was or in a bad mood or she didn't like us. She was practically throwing the plate on our table, the chef had to ask her twice to refill our water and then she reffiled only one glass and put the bottle on the table for the rest.. For the wine we had to ask several times to refill. We had to wait extremely long to get our aperol. It's a pitty that the food is so good and the service is so bad. The chef is obviously extremely talented but he needs a better restaurant manager.

10/10We are so happy to try out this cosy and nice restaurant in our neighbourhood. Place is well furnished and details were so elegant. We tried business lunch and can say that plates are all so good and delicious. It is so obvious that there is a good kitchen team behind the scenes. And also waiters are so kind and well explained all plates and drinks that we chose. Thanks to the master Chef and the management. We would definitely go back.

5.5/10The terrace is beautifully dressed, nice space for each table, great view on the garden and the park behind. the heating system helps enjoying the evening in the terrace even with a bit of wind or colder brussels weather. Food was good, service unfortunately was not at the level of all the rest, is a pity because I really liked the restaurant. The was one waiter attending all the tables in the terrace and she clearly could not be as present and spot on as needed by the league this restaurant wants to play in, that is instead very clear from the wine list's pricing and the overall pricing of the menu. With a higher standard of service it could be worthy the money they ask,,, hope they step up their game soon.

10/10Very pleasant welcome. Elegant and sophisticated decor yet pleasant and no fuss. Extremely fine food. Very happy;. This was our second meal at Le Brugmann, we shall return.
