Usually I am never disappointed by a restaurant reviewed in the Michelin guide but here are indeed some exceptions. This restaurant is one of them. The quality and taste of the food was uneven. Some good stuff, others less but nothing exceptional. Service à la carte was extremely low and above all the menu doesnt list important details information. Would be nice to know the caviar is produced in Poland by a brand I didn’t know but still using names of re known brands. Only one selection of wine by the glass… and a few other details that stopped me from enjoying completely the experience

Very good food but we were close to the door which kept opening and letting draft despite our requests to have it closed. Ask for table near window or back of the room. We were also close to the table where dishes were being served attending to disagreements and tensions between the waiters…. Our waiter was friendly but service was slow, place was noisy. I expected a bit more…..

Sadly, Brugmann is not what it used to be. The food was good but far from exceptional. The service has clearly declined (waiters did not provide explanations to the menu options to our guests. The kids waited for 1.30h for their food and the adults had +40 min of wait between some of the menu dishes). There are better places in Brussels where to go to enjoy your meal.

Disappointed. Noisy place. People talking loudly. The food was very fusion and deviated from the original. As a starter I ordered the foie gras de canard du sud-ouest farandole de boules magiques, but there was little flavor in the fois gras and the rest of the dish didn't please me. As a main course I had the magret de canard à l'orange, but the meat was overcooked and felt rubbery when chewed. The orange sauce was great, but I couldn’t eat the meat. I tried to exchange my dish with my friend's, but his was worse than mine so I didn't eat and left the restaurant hungry. I didn't dare to order a dessert as the first two courses left me unhappy. The service was good, but if the Italian lady who served us showed a smile every now and then it would have been nice. I don't know if I'll be back someday, but compared to the fine restaurants I usually go to in Brussels and London, Brugmann is a little behind and I think their chef could do better!

We had the fixed Christmas menu at Brugmann on Christmas Day. There were 7 courses, so a lot of food and each course was very tasty. My partner is vegetarian and they offered him veggie options without any problems. The service was swift, and it being Christmas it was very busy - so our waiter sometimes forgot what we had already asked for (e.g. the wine)... It's not the food that disappoints, it's the service and overall design of the place. The staff are very friendly, but you can tell they're disorganised - e g. it was not clear who was in charge overall. For a place that wants to be silver service / high end Michelin style, you need to pay attention to detail: dress the same and professionally (so no trainers, no jeans, tuck in your shirts etc) - don't take a cigarette break and come to our table with horrible cigarette breath to explain the next course. Replace the service station / payment desk with something where the paint is not peeling. It's the little things that count at this level, especially when charging top €€ to your customers .

Her birthday. Service was exceptional. The fish tartare with caviar was a dish that will be remembered and spoken about for years. So good.

An amazing experience. The food was delicious and the chef came to great us and took us on a tour of the kitchen. He is gifted!! Glad that we booked on our last day in Brussels.
