10/10Alessandro was waiting for us with a big smile and he makes the experience very pleasant. Real Italian vibe ????. The food was really good, a bit reduced choice for vegetarians but I could still have a starter and Primo. Highly recommended ????

6/10Unfortunately our dinner at this restaurant was quite disappointing and our worst experience of a two week holiday in Piemonte. Things started great with a very warm welcome in a restaurant oozing with charm. The food was decent (typical regional). But it lacked in the service department. We were seated outside on a small hill and the waiters just lost sights of us. We had to wait an hour between the first and second course with no service at the table at all (for drinks f.e.), the side salad was served before the main course (which was confusing as we told them we did not order a salad), and when the main course was served with wrong cutlery and we were trying to get the attention of the waiters (even by waving) this went unnoticed for another 10-15 minutes.

9/10It was a very good choice in Canelli area. The menu is very simple, but dishes are excellent. Very important canteen with a long list of wines and a favourable ratio price/quality. A place where to go, at least once

10/10What an amazing restaurant. Unbelievable service. Kind staff, delicious, authentic food. We even took amazing wine home with us. Please stop and enjoy this restaurant as you move through Italy. We will be back!

MONFERRATO - Il ristorante C'era Una Volta si trova a Canelli, uno dei più importanti centri del Monferrato, famoso per la sua produzione di vini e, il locale, che si erge proprio nelle campagne della cittadina, è immerso tra i colli e i vigneti. RUSTICO - Con l'aspetto di un antico casale di collina, il locale si propone con un ambiente che ricorda la civiltà contadina del passato. Tra pareti sasso e di mattoni, ecco apparire botti ed vecchi attrezzi contadini, mentre l'esterno è quello tipico di una fattoria. CUCINA PIEMONTESE - Il menù propone tanti piatti tipici della tradizione astigiana e piemontese. Da non perdere primi come i tajarin o i ravioli del plin, immancabile poi il bunet come dessert. Si beve naturalmente piemontese.
