The service and food were good. However the place is not what I was expecting! it looks like a "PMU bar" in France (just a feeling). But the workers are very welcoming and nice. They speak English.

We booked a last minute reservation to have dinner at Cafe du Cadran, and we were very happy. The server was kind and attentive. The ambiance was relaxing and comfortable. The food was one of the best meals we had in Paris. Perfectly seasoned and cooked steak, crispy fries, and fresh mixed green salad. The pepper sauce for the steak was so good. Linguine bolognese was flavorful. Onion soup was pleasantly rich with a lot of onions and so much flavor. Our family (2 kids 2 adults) were very happy with our meal and the restaurant as a whole. We really appreciate how the man and woman who worked there were so accommodating to our family. Thank you!

The proprietor was very pleasant and helpful, but the food was not that great. The steak we ordered was very overcooked and the sides were adequate. Great service and ambiance, but the food itself was disappointing.
