Very enjoyable dinner. We sat outside. We ordered the grill fish platter and the grilled vegetable platter, All very nice. I tend to go for meat rather than vegetables in life but this vegetable platter served on a burning hot slate slab was truly inspirational. Recommended.

Maybe it was because the restaurant was busy, but our waiter wasn't very friendly at all. And this was the first time I've ever experienced in Spain having a waiter telling us that service charge isn't included in the bill, and we should add a tip. It was quite off putting considering he wasn't friendly at all during the service.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, and their kindness helped add to the lovely atmosphere of the restaurant. And the food? Incredible. The lobster paella was the best paella we ate while in Spain. The papas bravas? The same. And the generous carafe of sangria seals the deal.

Could had been 4 stars until waiter asked for a tip! First restaurant in 5 days here in Barcelona where we were asked to tip when paying the bill. Besides that the food was very good, the grilled razor clams and paella were the stars of the show. The mussels were tiny but tasty, grilled vegetables were ok m, carrot tasted off and asparagus was mushy. We also had shrimp in garlic sauce, that was delicious too!

The tomato and bread were divorced from - each other, taste and presentation. Smearing tomato juice on toast doesn't do justice to this original Catalan delicacy. 👎 The croquettes 6 in number for the price and as a visual treat compared to the competition was bewildering. The saving grace was the Paella, great taste, slightly oily (hope it was heart friendly!) and a mediocre portion. The lemons were abundantly moist and succulent compared to the starved seafood. A fellow reviewer mentioned asking for tap water but got charged for bottled water, and it happened to me too! To sum up, for the price, not nice, won't come back twice.

Great old restaurant in Barceloneta, really good dishes, paella is recommended but all tapas are very tasteful, the service is old school so very good and attentive, would definitely come back if you!

Can Ramonet was the discovery of the trip. The fish and the steak outstanding, the "Crema Catalana" was the best I have had in couple of years visiting Barcelona and the chocolate coulant was AMAZING! Coming back for sure to try the fideua and rices.
