Speciality Restaurant with creative Portuguese cuisines. Fish was over salted but the meat was perfectly cooked and tasted as good as it can with local lamb chops.

This restaurant is exceptional, the food was absolutely delicious and the service very good. Our waiter guided us through quantities and what paired well together. Hw got our order spot on. The place was completely full with a wonderful atmosphere. I will def come again

For starters, the bread is some of the best I’ve had in Portugal. The squid poached in sheep’s butter was also sublime and we enjoyed sharing the huge and delicious poached peaches with pistachio ice cream and a zabaglione type cream. Yum. The atmosphere is small bistro, and tables are cramped. The service was excellent.

i made a lunch reservation and they just canceled 1 hour before without any reason. i try to call on MY WAY THERE and not one answer ! is imposible to get in touch with someone there, the food is good , service is terribel. rest has a great potential but !

Service hurried and uninformed. Food very good but not outstanding. We were not advised of all the offerings that we saw other patrons receiving, eg clams and sardines. The only seafood appetizer we were offered was cod cakes. Wanting seafood, this was disappointing.

Very little atmosphere. TV screen with football on?! Harsh lighting. Anchovy starter for sharing was one tiny fillet from a tin.... Fish option was smothered in sauce and very bony. Other vegetables were heavily salted and all was luke warm. However, waiter was delightful and attentive.

We had the best lunch at Canalha. The place is comfortable and casual. The service friendly. The food simple, good quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, generous servings and good value. I wish there were more places like this.

Food: excellent simplicity with extraordinary produce. Simple and delicious food is the most difficult to execute, but here they excel. The bar seats are not too comfortable, stools without back rest, but who cares, you go there for the food, and definitely you should.

Starters were really good. Meat is overpriced. Then, the restaurant offered only paper napkins which is something you don't expect in a restaurant that has a Chef and sous-Chef.

Good traditional food with a personalized touch but disappoints in terms of expectation. Does not justify the hype of the media ( probably because of the chef name ) and imho has a low ratio in terms of cost / reward . The staff is nice.

45 mins to be seated when we had a reservation. Most seafood was not available. Food that we had was ok but definitely not worth the price. The only highlight i would say were the employees who were very nice although service itself wasn’t
