8/10The food was great, but it was very hot, even with their AC on. their excuse is that it's very hot outside, but I think they should be prepared for such situations especially when a restaurant is recognised by Michelin!

7.5/10A modern classic restaurant with a creative menu and fresh ingredients on hand and available for inspection. Recommended to us by a friend who had been there about a year ago. Wait staff very friendly and helpful as you make your menu choices. Squid cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful but sheep butter sauce failed to complement effectively. Sea bass served cold, a bit disappointing as we were the first seating on a Monday and the kitchen was not yet under any real strain. The sauce was too thick and laid a suffocating blanket on a fish that doesn’t require a lot to please the palate. The staff was terrific and that surely makes the experience balanced instead of disappointing. Ordered a Vermouth Bianco, waiter returned a few minutes later to report that it was unavailable. Forgot to take it off the bill. Details, details, details……

6.5/10We had looked forward to dining at Canalha for over a year and hoped it would become one of our regular lunch spots. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While we were greeted warmly initially, our server rushed us from the moment we sat down, growing visibly impatient when we weren’t ready to order within a minute. Throughout the meal, we felt pressured, our questions about a few dishes unwelcome, judged for our choices, and uncomfortable asking for basic things like to-go boxes (which became necessary since we were rushed to leave the table before finishing our meal). She even argued with us at the request. The server rolled her eyes several times throughout her interactions with us. Items we ordered never arrived, yet we were charged for them. To top it off, we were told to leave to make room for other guests, even though a few tables were open. We never write negative reviews, but this experience felt more stressful than enjoyable; w/o the opportunity to savor the food.

5.5/10Food was nice, but not amazing. Waitress made the experience really underwhelming and unenjoyable. Was also sat at a table that was right next to another, who also received better service than us. Quite disappointed, and definitely not worth it for the price.

7.5/10The food had a unique taste. The fish was very nice but there were some dishes that might need a refined tongue to fully enjoy them. The servers we had were nice - the Sommelier was outstandingly great.

5.5/10The best part about the meal with the bread and olives. The onion and lettuce salad at first tasted like it needed salt. But as I continued to eat it, I got mouthfuls of salt, so much so that the rest of the salad was unedible. The pork had gristle in it that I tried discreetly to spit out. The piperade sauce amounted to a brunoise of the ingredients, the flavor was not developed, and there was nothing saucy about it. And finally, they were out of the red wine that I ordered, which seems like poor inventory management to me. This is probably the worst meal I’ve had in Lisbon so far.

9/10The tuna tartare with rice and a quail egg was totally unique and flavorful. The squid was tender with a light chive studded sauce. The shrimp and pasta had a tasty contrast of flavors and textures. The staff was gracious and welcoming.

10/10The food was outstanding. I got the omelet with shrimp and onions. Who would have thought an omelet could be so tasty. It certainly was the best one I’ve ever had. And. Y husband had the skate special which was as equally delicious.
