One very nice waiter covering the entire restaurant. He did well. The food was flavorless.

Service was great, nothing to add on it... But considering past reviews, I expected food to be AMAZING and it wasn't.

Carmo is beautiful. The food is good, the service is great and the drinks are excellent. Our only complaint was that we were the only table at the restaurant. Hopefully it was just an off day because otherwise we truly enjoyed Carmo.

Traffic was simply too busy and the waiter was inattentive. We didn’t get all the items ordered and the food was just ok.

The view onto Largo Carmo and the Carmo Convent from our inside seating by the window was beautiful. The food was the best dinner we had on our one week Lisbon holiday. I ordered the Angus beef and my husband had the ribs and fries, both were outstanding. The service was top notch as well. Thank you!

We orders a number of tapas for 4 people. The cod fritters were pretty good but that was about it. We had fries and they were not even edible. Seemed like they were cooked in a microwave. Told the waiter and he just shrugged his shoulders. Rest is the tapas were just ok. Main dishes were pasta and a rice dish. We ordered the duck rice but it came with more pork than duck and it was all over cooked. Once we finally got the bill and tracked down our waiter to pay he then wanted us to tip on the machine but wouldn’t show it to me. I said I would leave cash and he just grunted and shoved the machine into my hand… I did not tip after that. As we walked away and he noticed I didn’t tip he just scowled at us until we were would out sight. We won’t be back. It’s too bad since this was a suggestion in a Rick Steve’s guide book.

The historic setting of the Carmo plaza -site of the Carnation Revolution - with excellent Sangria and tapas (pasta carbonara, olives, shrimp gambasaguillo and fresh bread) all under the Jacaranda trees was wonderful! Very memorable experience and would recommend to anyone looking for an outdoor dining experience!

The ambience at Carmo was charming. The waiter was friendly and answered questions about various menu items. The food was DELICIOUS, our kudos to the chefs that prepared it! Overall a very good dining experience.

It was a beautiful night. Outside tables were full, so they brought another table from inside out for us. Great service!

We were seated at a table by a window with a delightful view of the old square. We had aperitifs followed by a selection of tapas and two glasses of wine. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. Altogether, it was a memorable experience.

It was OK but nothing mind blowing. The pork cheeks were salty but those truffled potatoes were amazing. The cod was great. The sardine bruschetta was cold and gave a “someone just plopped me out of a tin” vibe and the prawns were more heads (whose size didn’t necessarily match the tails) than meat but the wine was great.

Pre-booked for new years day. Attended restaurant the day before to check location and ensure we knew we would arrive on time and also to check on booking and menu. Had confirmation that regular menu was in operation. Arrived early on new years day and had wine (as arrived early) before taking seats to dine. Ontaking seats we were presented with revised menu. As I have lots of food intolerance, my only option was a burger.....at cost of 21 euros!!!!!! For new years day???? After some discussion my husband and I decided this was not acceptable....his chosen dish had also been removed from the revised menu. Staff were very understanding, polite, and professional...... however shouldn't they have known this the day before?????? When we attended in person to check I everything associated with the booking. Restaurant looked amazing......even though up several steep hills, which we climbed twice!!! And still didn't get to eat to taste the food there! Ambience was amazing......just bad coms!

The food was terrible and very expensive. The main course was horrible (bacalao), almost no fish only mashed potato with few green leaves as a salad. And they charged €70 for each person. We felt robbed.

Beautiful view from windows. Welcoming atmosphere. Stunning interior. Food was good extremely well presented. Glad they could fit me in at Christmas - so glad I went there. Only issue was handle feel off toilet door and I could not get out

This was our first disappointing meal thus far in Lisbon. The room smelled of a WC, making it quite difficult to focus on the food. The soup was runny, and the rice too salty. The pasta was okay.

Quality of the service and food was good. Location and atmosphere is very good. Also good value for money. The gambas in garlic sauce and the fish carpaccio were delicious!

Very nice restaurant near the Carmo neighborhood. Close to Santa Justa Lift and The Museu Arqueológico Do Carmo. Food was good however wish the portions were larger. Restaurant was clean, quiet, and upscale. Make sure to check the bill as they charged us for the Couvert when we refused it and forgot to apply the discount, however the head waitress fixed this without issue once we pointed it out.

The restaurant is beautiful and the food was good, but the service was poor. The restaurant was not that busy when we arrived, but the servers seemed overwhelmed. We asked for bread twice but never received it even though it was on the bill

We had a lovely table near a window with a view of the park outside. The waiter was helpful. The pork was delicious, the risotto with shrimp was also very good
