8/10First and foremost, the service was incredible. The staff was wonderful and they gave us a bunch of little freebies to try, most of which were good. Unfortunately we just didn’t quite enjoy the food itself too much. We ordered the linguine, the risotto, the lobster spaghettone, and the stuffed carbonara. The linguine was good - nothing to write home about, but we finished it so hard to complain. The risotto was interesting. Can’t say I’d order it again, but it was okay. The carbonara was the star for sure. Some of the better pasta I’ve had on our trip. The real issue was the spaghettone. I love lobster and either the lobster was bad, or they used too much anchovie paste or something but it just was far too fishy. Neither my husband or I could get more than a bite down. We explained and sent it back. Didn’t want to push the staff to take it off the bill, as they were wonderful, but I think they probably shouldn’t have charged us for it. It’s okay though. Just not our ideal last meal.

9/10Restaurant with very friendly and familiar mood, classic dishes such as ossobucco (excellent!) and surprises as well, e.g. Terrine of chicken liver (you will like it!), good wines which fit with the food, attractive price/value-ratio, a place to come again!

10/10What a pleasure. A friend’s Florentine wife recommended Casa Ciabattini and she was so right. Fresh pasta, including gluten free for my wife, along with fantastic secondis. Ample and well priced wine list, too. Friendly, fun and attentive service. A 10 minute walk from city center and well worth it.

10/10Went there on our first night in Florence and ended up going again 2 days later on our last night. Fettuccini al ragu, Il Pepuso all’imprunetina (stewed beef) and the Panna Cotta were all delicious. I highly recommend this place.

10/10We're the Asian family that went to Casa Ciabattini 3 nights in a row. Waiter (who's name is of a famous boxer) was so kind to my Father despite his broken English, and even packed us extra leftover bread that we took home. I regret not ordering the truffle pasta until Night 3 - I should've ordered it on Night 1, 2, and 3. Other faves: pumpkin soup and separately, the squid dish (with pumpkin and beets). It's close to AC Firenze Hotel - 7 min walking distance.

9/10The food was absolutely delicious. We started with a pumpkin cream soup which was fantastic. Then we had the fettuccini ragu, which was amazing with a “shredded beef” style ragu and the Meatballs “just like mama”. I ordered a side of pasta noodles with it as it comes with 3 meatballs in a red sauce. I have to say the fettuccine noodles are thin and cooked until they are soft, which we prefer versus more al dente. They almost melt in your mouth. We also ordered a green side salad that comes plain and you add your own oil and balsamic to your taste. Very simple, very good. We finished with a Panne Cotta that was tremendous. Very light, but flavorful with fresh berries and a berry sauce on the side. Sooo good! The ambience is okay compared to other restaurants in the area, but the food shines here! We would definitely return.

4.5/10Our orders were not taken for a long time after ring seated. In fact the server first took the order of a couple who were seated after us. We ordered two different pastas (one Tuscan ragu, the other a duck ragu) but the sauces were the essentially the same. The house wine was terrible. Would not recommend or eat here again.

10/10Casa Ciabattini is a fantastic contemporary trattoria that serves traditional Tuscan foods in a delightful teal, green, and white dining room. Their cocktail menu is innovative with a great take on a Negroni that took a vacation (rum and pineapple — it really works). My family loved every dish we ordered: peposo, chicken liver terrine, soft egg with Parmesan cream and truffle, meatballs, gnocchi with porcini mushrooms, and potato ravioli with sheep ragu. Everything exceeded expectations and my kids had a great time. I highly recommend Casa Ciabattini for contemporary takes on Tuscan dishes. Escape the tourist restaurants in city center and try this place!

10/10The restaurant is the brainchild of young entrepreneurs. The kitchen is open, and it was enjoyable to watch the chef and assistants, hustle to prepare the evenings fare. I didn’t order much, but what I did eat, was excellent. I started with the one Pinot Grigio on the wine list. I am a bit of a wine snob, but this was an excellent label. Next was the ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers. Portions can be small, a bit on the pricey side, but so delicious. I loved it. Then came six small pasta pods, filled with ground sheep, in an incredible white sauce. The flavor of the meat was mild and the white sauce they sat in was perfect. Dessert was round, light and white, with a soufflé consistency, drizzled with a delicious raspberry sauce and fresh raspberries. I can’t recall the description but it melted in my mouth. I enjoyed an Americana cup of coffee, with sugar and a splash of milk. It was bold, but all so flavorful, resulting in a wonderful evening of food bliss.

9.5/10Slightly outside the busier tourist district, the restaurant is bright and inviting inside. Cocktails are derivations of classics. Good wine list. All dishes were delicious with homemade pastas. We started with the stuffed zucchini flowers- yum.. The chitarra had a lovely cherry tomato sauce. We had never had gnudi beforehand and they were excellent with a great tomato sauce. The braised beef was flavorful and went well with the mashed potatoes side. We were full so we skipped dessert.
