10/10When you get to La Cera street you do not imagine to find there such a nice place and great FOOD. From the warm welcome by Marsi to the competent service of Arthur everything was perfect. Superb choices of first and second plates and desserts. Wine list is very good. I stick to the recommendation Liberta Prima from Montserrat. Great choice. The Belotta cured ham with bread and tomatoes sauce was delicious and the main course a rice of seasonal mushrooms superb. Cooked at perfection. For dessert we shared LA TORRIJA DEL VECINO. 10/10We found this restaurant by googling about a month before arriving Barcelona. The reviews were great, so we made a reservation for 4/21/24 at 7PM. When the taxi driver dropped us off and said, "walk down this street and it will be on your right", we didn't think anything about it until it looked like we were in a locals area and thought he must have gotten the address wrong! All of a sudden we came upon the cutest restaurant nestled in with other businesses! We would have never stumbled upon it! Cera 23 was amazing! When we first arrived there weren't many customers, by the time we left, the place was packed and there was standing room only in the entrance. The service was exceptional and every thing from cocktails to every dish was artistic and exceptional with taste! We had eaten at a Michelin restaurant the night before and it didn't come close to Cera 23! The Michelin restaurant was great, but Cera 23 was so much more! It was so unique in character, charm, the service, the food...I have traveled the world and this is the best food I have ever eaten! Not if, but when I return to Barcelona, it will definitely be on my list of places to eat, not once, but multiple times! The Manager, Marse, was such a delight and made sure our experience was nothing but the best! We asked who the Chef was, sorry, but I can't remember HER name, but we told her how thrilled we were with our experience and she was genuinely appreciative! Definitely go, you won't be disappointed. Make a reservation in advance to ensure a table!

8.5/10The food, the mohitos and the service were excellent. You run a fantastic restaurant. My only complaint was that my girlfriend who is Brazilian and I (from the US) were sat next to a older British couple that continued to make sexist and racist remarks about my girlfriend. I know this was not your fault in any way but I came to Cera 23 10 years ago and was so excited to take my gf to show her what a good experience your restaurant provides. Unfortunately, the constant racist and sexist remarks somewhat ruined what was otherwise a lovely meal. At one point, I even told them I could gear what they were saying and gave them a dirty look. Instead of stopping, they just switched to whispering.. but their whispering was so loud we could still hear every racist comment they made about her being "dark" and wanting citizenship from a "white" guy.

8/10We waited for 20 minutes to get anything from our server and when she finally came, she didn't say hi or welcome or ask if she could get us a drink. She said 'do you know what you want?'. That was her greeting. And it didn't get better from there. I've been many times and have sent several group of friends there but I have never had an experience this. Disappointing to take relatives there after a spoke so highly this restaurant. I think I'm done.

Hello Rick! We give you our deepest apologizes for our waitress behavior. Is not normal that we provide a bad service and aparently was for a bad day of hers and she took it in a very unprofetional way. Sorry again and we hope that you change your mind and come back again to our place. We promise you a very difetent experience! take care!

10/10Every time we are in BCN we stop by and have dinner in this beautiful restaurant. The food is excellent and freshly cooked in the open kitchen. Service is great and and very friendly. Highly recommended.

10/10Eggplant appetizer and hidden flavors were a pleasant surprise. Sea bass was our favorite but every dish was divine. Mushroom risotto had deep flavors and black ink rice was Michelin star quality.

10/10I was delighted to have a panoramic view of the ocean, Adeje coast and mountains while enjoying my meal. The staff were warm and polite and the dishes were delicious. The morcilla was uniquely presented. I found the “secreto” a little chewy but the flavour was divine. The scallops were melt-in-your-mouth delectable - I was practically drinking them. Loved their unique black salt as well. Would readily come back to try other dishes and take in the ambiance.

4/10Don’t publish this, but I’ve been coming to Barcelona since 2016 and every year I come to Cera 23. This year I was disappointed. The food quality has dropped and the options have gotten worse. I hope you can revive the old cera 23.

10/10The service my family received was friendly and attentive 10/10. Our server and meal were by far the best we had while traveling through Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona. I highly recommend this restraint, and I have dined worldwide.

5.5/10Everyone say this restaurant ambience is very warm but I feel like very fake and when I order some non alcohol drink the staff said they don’t have any non alcohol drink and advise us to order mocktail, however we later find that the next table can order some Fanta etc. which I think it’s a shame to me! The table is very packed and the surrounding is not very safe and feels like it’s just a community of market because there is a big market next to it. It is the only restaurant there and I found it strange! The food is fine n delicious, but very pricy and crowded , if u r two people they will arrange u to other 2 ppl table n the distance is so close it makes me feel uncomfortable talking

10/10A fabulous restaurant. Food, employees and owners. One owner even walked us a block to get a cab at 12:30 New Years Eve. A very special over the top restaurant. Reservation absolutely necessary way in advance. Locals love it we know why!

10/10What a wonderful restaurant!! After two weeks of eating out each night in Madrid and Barcelona, this is the best for both quality of food and service! The service is wonderful. Friendly, prompt, and always with a smile. The food is absolutely delicious. We had almost all the dishes and none disappointed. For sure next time back to BCN, this will be our go-to.

10/10A great restaurant. Away from the very busy Rambla we found this hidden juwel. The food is delicious, and besides it taste so good it is beautifull served with eye for detail. The staff in the restaurant is very friendly and see to it that your evening in the restaurant is a celebration. So, walk a bit away from the too busy centre a go eat at Cera 23.

10/10We’re honeymooning in Spain from Canada and were forewarned to lower our expectation of hospitality/service in Spain. Cera 23 was recommended to us by friends who revisited the restaurant multiple times during their honeymoon. The ambience and the service was top notch. Melody was so lovely and friendly, leaving us feeling like we were just at home. We came for a late dinner and weren’t that hungry but the food was so great that we couldn’t stop ordering. We wouldn’t say it’s anything authentic Spanish but who cares when the food and service is that good. Wish we found it sooner to try it a few more times before we left.

2/10- Service: we waited for 45 minutes before we got a table even though we had a reservation. - Quality of food/price: I had the beef Angus and it was a bit cold and it was a weird dish. - Ambiance: From where I was sitting I could see one of the trash bins from the kitchen.

15 minutes are now 45 and there is no way you could see the trash bins from the kitchen because there are on the back of the kitchen and there is a wall. You could give us the worst ratting as you did, but there is no need to lie...

10/10This has always been one of our favourite restaurants when we visit Barcelona, and it did not disappoint. We had an outstanding meal, great tastes and beautifully balanced flavours. All the dishes arrived hot, straight from the kitchen. Service was exemplary; the staff are so kind and friendly. Very highly recommended!

6.5/10We had an amazing starter but our main courses were a bit disappointing. My steak came as well done even though I ordered medium rare. The sauce and sides were slightly tasteless. I mentioned the steak and was offered a new one but since the rest of the dish wasn’t great I didn’t take it. Friendly and kind personal.

10/10Wow. Do not hesitate- this place is phenomenal - the food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. As we approach the restaurant we were a little concerned about the locality, but all that disappeared once we stepped inside this beautiful restaurant. The baby scallops, beef tataki, sea bass, beef entrecôte were sensational. And you have to try their cheesecake - best we have ever had. Blackberry mojito was also worthy of a mention. Highly recommended this place.

6/10The restaurant is charming, but on the night my wife and my son went to dine, the restaurant was packed, hot and noisy. This could be the reason why one of the appetizers that was ordered was delivered after our main course after I had pointed out that it not arrived. There was a significant delay between appetizers and the main course as well. We ordered glasses of wine towards the end of our appetizers, and the drinks were not delivered until we were almost done with our main course . The food was uneven in quality - the Burrata and the Iberian ham were very good, but the ceviche was average and my octopus was overcooked, which by Spanish standards, should be a significant strike against the restaurant. With the exception of the Iberian ham appetizer, the portions were small. Overall unimpressive. For the price we would’ve done better at any of the decent tapas restaurants in the area.
