7.5/10We were really looking forward to eating here. We were however a bit disappointed. The menu has a large difference in price range depending on the dish, with some dishes unexpectedly expensive for Portugal. The food was good, tasty and nicely presented. We did however feel that the welcome was very impersonal, the toilets needed cleaning and the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant was very noisy. We were running late and tried to call the restaurant a number of times to notify them, but the call was never answered. In general it was fine, but not somewhere we would rush back to.

6.5/10For the price we've paid I'd expected more quality and quantity on the food. I've ate "Bacalhau a Brás" and "Bacalhau ao lagareiro" and the portions where super small, it came with a small part of Bacalhau and a lot of potatoes. The Bacalhau a Brás was good but I was expecting the traditional with homemade fried potatoes taking in consideration the price of the plate. The service was good. But it's bad if when we ask something out of the box (a picture of us in the restaurant) they gossip between them, make faces and roll eyes...

7/10Very interesting place to visit in terms of the indoors. Good service , ok food. The price in relation with what offered is high. We have eaten (with the same prices or even lower) to much better restaurants in Portugal.

10/10I came here a few years ago, before the big renovation, and I read online a lot of not-exactly-positive reviews for a number of reasons. So, I choose to come early in the day for lunch. I have to say it was a fantastic experience starting from the service, which was professional and quick. We were welcomed with a brief introduction to the place, too. The food was great! The octopus salad was tender and flavorful. The steak was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the bacalhau a braz was also great. The artisanal beer is worth mentioning too. The only thing I was not a fan of was the fact that the bill added a tip, very American. I usually leave a tip regardless if the service is good. but the fact that it is not mentioned makes it a bit dodgy. Also, the real total is written small and the total with the tip is written bigger, which doesn't feel right. When I paid with a card, I was not asked if I wanted to add. The total was given with the tip added.

9.5/10Nice place to have lunch. This restaurant is located in a beautiful old building at Chiado. They serve traditional Portuguese food and homemade beer for a reasonable price.

9/10Food was excellent and service good, EXCEPT that we went on a Monday night and we only found out, after we ordered a sea food cataplana, that this was "off the menu" as the suppliers didn't go out Fishing on Sundays. As this is a routine recurring event it really should be on the face of the menu!

10/10We went to the restaurant years ago, before the renovation, and liked it a lot. Coming back now, we loved it! Modern and elegant atmosphere! Wonderful staff. Their cataplana is delicious! Definitely recommend! Sent from my iPhone

10/10First of all, the place is an old monastery and with beautiful wall paintings. The service is excellent. The taste of the seafood platter is the best of Portugal. Will surely visit it again!

9.5/10Perfect cooked Food with true Portuguese tasting! Service is fast and the waiters are always aware of your needs. Excellent on quality with a matching price. Would highly recommend the Chocolate 70% desert! To improve the split on Gest with reserve and without it... You waiting on the queue just to be informed that reservations do not have to wait...🤔

10/10We had dinner in the inner courtyard, under the covered porch of the old monastery. To think that this building has seen an earthquake, two fires plus the passage of time… Their inside dining rooms are spectacular with their huge murals of “azulejos” and their high ceiling… They serve a cuisine worthy of the the Portuguese culture, of the land; presented simply and without artifice. Beef, "tapas" and seafood are their specialties. I highly recommend!
