3/10By far, this is the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant. We ordered food for three. Starters were first delivered in a random orders, and we didn’t have any cutlery nor napkins. Once the main dishes were delivered, one of us didn’t have any plates. The waiter explained to us it was our error. And we were flabbergasted, as all of us understood the same thing. Next we discovered a label in the cooked vegetables and felt both the fish and meat were smelly. If you’re used to purchasing meat and fish, , this is definitely not a good sign, and an even worst when it’s cooked. When the third main dish was delivered, the meat was so smelly that customers in front of us were searching for the origin of the smell! We returned the meat and at this point we just wanted to pay and leave! I hope none of us will be ill! All in all, i it's not possible to have this kind of experience when a dish costs over 30 euros. This is definitely a place to avoid.

10/10It is a cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. The sauces are very delicious! And you really can taste the charcoal.

7/10We really wanted to love this restaurant and were excited to try it when visiting Delft from the US. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff was great. We had a wonderful wine but the food was very dissapointing. We all ordered fish dishes and they were all very over cooked and dry.

5.5/10Too crowded, way too many people cramped into eachother. Loud music on top of that. Food is okay, but not special for the high prices. Friendly staff though.

4/10The food was good but the space was cramped. We actually had to tell people having a drink to move away as they were standing next to our chairs (high table) and bumping into us. We got the food and while we were enjoying it and asking for more, we were told we had to vacate the table because there was another reservation. Therefore we were asked to leave even though we had not even received the last of our order. The waiter never wrote down what we ordered so we actually got a couple of dishes wrong. Once we had already paid and were getting up to leave, they asked us if we still wanted the last round of drinks they had forgotten to bring. Thr bathroons were absolutely disgusting, no toilet paper and completely splashed. When we mentioned it to the waitress she said it was normal. We will never be back to this place

2/10I sat 40 minutes waiting to be served. Not even a drink was offered to me on a very hot day. The servers ran around like headless chickens. Prior to this day I had made a confirmed reservation only to get to the restaurant to find it closed. When the restaurant first opened service was good as was the food...but....since then everything has gone down hill

10/10It’s pretty amazing. For drinks we had Hippocampe wit( fruity,refreshingly) and Mariluna Red wine ( fruity, smooth and with balanced body). Both are really great. Food-wise We had the mix skewers, pieterman fillets and smoked entrocete. Adding some extra Kai Yang. As every time their seasoning and spices really surprises me with all the Asian inspiration

9/10They have pretty descent meals. That’s the second time we visited this restaurants. The fish is very fresh and the mussel&prawn have pretty good seasoning as well.

5.5/10Service was not Good. Students that don’t really care. Every remark we made was not followed by any action, like the wine that arrived much too warn, or the next glass containing half the quantity… food was not bad, but not excellent either. Tasteless lobster, overcooked vegetables, overcooked meat!! Noisy…. Better forget about it

9/10The food was truly great! We had the brad with the aubergine sauce and it was absolutely delicious. A good option to snack on while waiting for the main dishes. I had the chicken with the piri piri sauce... despite not being a fan of BBQ chicken it was so good I may actually order it again when visiting next time! My boyfriend had the ribs which were super tender and tasty. We also had the mixed vegetables and the Asian vegetables. Both very good, maybe the portion a bit too small considering the price for them. The only negative note is the lack of possibility to have tap water instead of bottled one but considering the quality and taste of everything we did not care too much. The service was also excellent! Maybe it would be nice to have the menus translated also in English...

9.5/10As Americans living in Holland for 6 years, we've rarely come across a BBQ place as good as Charcoal. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the spices on the spare ribs left us all wanting more. We all agreed it was even worth another trip all the way from Utrecht to come back! One of the best meals we've ever had in our time here.

7/10We had a reasonable meal here. One of the servers was nice and pretty competent, the other one was very undertrained and inexperienced. We had to ask a couple of times for a cooler for our wine also had to ask for cutlery for our main course, there was none put down or even napkins with our starter. My partner had fish which was lovely with nice and crispy skin. I ordered a steak which as the best place advertised a charcoal grill I expected nice seared outside. It was tasty but underwhelming. No charcoal searing on the outside... would not have not have minded too much but paying €50 per person and being refused a glass of tap water is not on. I get it that you want us to buy water... you are a business but don’t rip it when people have spent reasonable amounts with you. Won’t return because of that.

8.5/10Excellent food! The service was not so good; we had ordered an appetizer which never arrived, but came at the same time as the rest of the meal. But otherwise perfect; great wines, and perfect grilled fish.

8/10Nice food; specially the grilled pineapple (dessert). The personnel was very nice. The only bad point is that the tables next to three window are a bit cold (winter time)
