An authentic French brasserie with a focus on value for money. An out of town friend was visiting me in Paris and we were looking for a restaurant near the theater we were going to. I read the reviews on the Fork and we decided to give it a try - and what a delightful find! Chez Clara is a typical French neighborhood brasserie that has all but disappeared in many areas of the French capital. Their focus seems to be on providing good food and service at reasonable prices. For the same quality of food that you will find in most of the more trendy cafes and brassieres, Chez Clara’s prices are very reasonable - and the food was great! We tried the duck and steak which were perfectly prepared and delicious. We accompanied it with a bottle of Brouilly and finished off with some crème brûlée and an apple crumble for dessert. If you’re in the neighborhood - definitely put Chez Clara on your list!

Delicious food at good prices. The portions are big, too. I ate the tartar, it was perfect! Overall, I would recommend Chez Clara as a good place to meet your friends, colleagues or relatives at dinner.
