10/10My wife and I celebrated her birthday here at the recommendation of a good friend--the service was fantastic, in the garden the cool breezes off the Seine were perfect, and we took an album of pix of the food presentation which did not disappoint!

4.5/10Service was great but food was so disappointing, we didn’t finish our dinners and did not stay for dessert. Evidently this restaurant has been rebranded to appeal to “Everyman” prices lowered, selections reduced and food “commoditized”. Specifically, braised leeks wer too tough and tasteless to eat, bread was stale and my fish/rice dinner was unappetizing (rice was sticky, fish compressed) - really very bad. I’ve been to this restaurant twice in the past 8 years (when I fly to Paris) but was embarrassed to bring my friend this time. I’m sorry to say I won’t be returning.

3.5/10We expected to have a romantic dinner in this restaurant. But everything went wrong since we got there. First they did not have our reservation, then they put us in the worse table possible, right next to the bus station. The waiters were very noise and seen like very lost in what need to be done. The food was another disappointment, very flat and expensive. Anyway, maybe we would have a different experience if we had sat in a different table, but the food was not good. My husband pasta was like eating a rubber and my fish was cold with no taste.

10/10When I am meeting friends from other places for lunch, and it needs to be brilliantly done without a lot of fuss, and the food cannot fail, I take them to Chez Julien. And if anyone has a better idea, please let me know because, so far, I haven't found it.

5.5/10Not very enthousiastic. Food was okay, service should be improved. We booked a table for two for Christmas, three weeks in advance, but when arriving at the restaurant we were told that we should sit outside ( on a chilly December evening). Only after showing a bit of annoyance we got a table inside, in fact a table for four, so before our first course was served we were asked to move to another table that was supposed to be a better choice for us (and would of course allow the restaurant to place four other people). Fine, but be sincere or get organised. Then we ordered a bottle of red Medoc. Excellent choice, but the first glass was poured in a not yet emptied glass of white wine and part of the rest of the wine was spoiled at our table cloth, without any apologies whatsoever. Intervals between courses were extremely long. When leaving, staff could not easily find our coats. One was lying on the floor, the other was given some other visitor's number.

2/10I made a reservation at your restaurant before traveling to Paris as it had been highly recommended by a friend. Upon arrival I was told that I had to sit outside. It’s winter so naturally I said no. I was treated quite rudely by the host who then explained that I could sit alone near the bar but wouldn’t let me sit in the dining room. I insisted to sit in the dining room given that I had a reservation and again he quite rudely told me that I had up to an hour then to use my table because he had many reservations that night as if mine did not count. It was an incredibly poor experience and I chose to leave... Regardless of party size you should treat all of your customers with respect. A solo diner is no different.

7/10I’d usually leave 10-20 eur tip but since the waitress added herself 1 euro per person to the amount to pay per card (ie 2 euros since we were two) she lost 18 euros...

9.5/10The setting is beautiful and the food delicious. The servers were lovely but we had booked a table at 12 specifically because they advertise breakfast until 12:15, but when we went to order we were told breakfast was over, even though we were within time. The lunch we had instead was absolutely beautiful, but we wanted breakfast! Not to mention lunch is twice the price!
