This was my 2nd time at the restaurant. I took my mom there for her birthday as she requested Thai food. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was good. They made the evening special when they played happy birthday and everyone in the restaurant sang along, which was a nice surprise for my mom.

Booked in advance. Turned up on time, slightly early and met by rude women who questioned if we’d booked. Yes we had, it was written in your book which she showed us. They’d sat someone just as we walked in but we were told and I quote ‘wait outside’. What in the cold with no where to sit. I’m sorry, no. There are other places in Geneva who want business and will treat customers better than this. Even if we couldn’t have found anywhere else during the Geneva celebrations weekend ( which we did and went back again ), we wouldn’t have gone back here. Terrible and disgusting customer service and on this basis, they deserve no business whatsoever.

Nevertheless, this evening - a crowded Escalade evening - many “walked in” customers had rushed to the tables. Yours included since we could not hold an empty table for two hours. The lady on duty should have explained to you that it was just a matter of a few waiting minutes until a table becomes available. We regret this misunderstanding as, be assured, this is not our business philosophy to neglect the basic courtesy. We therefore apologize for your bad experience. Should you change your mind, we would love the chance to welcome you back and provide you with a much better experience.

Portions are shockingly small. For instance 25chf for roughly 200gr of vegetables. Rip off. Same for rice.

You were served a shockingly big portion instead: 500g of fresh raw vegetables for a main dish portion. Once woked, they can reduce slightly but the serving dish is big. What is the point to publish these false reports please? As for the rest, we take note of your overall dissatisfaction.

Very disappointing I every respect
Chiang Mai Thai RestaurantWould you kindly explain why please? Phad Thai and green curry are our best sellers and we take the greatest care in every dish we serve here. Nevertheless, you have shown a strange impatience because the two dishes came with a three minutes interval on your table. Wrong day probably.

The restaurant has a unique style and the food was great. However, I made a reservation via the fork in order to get a discount but this wasn't applied. We were asked to pay full price.

As good Thai food as any I have ever had outside Thailand, indeed comparable in overall quality to a quality restaurant in Thailand. Fresh tasting food with enough spiciness to make it interesting but not to overwhelm. Service is very calm and polite. We have resolved that we will return when we are in Geneva.

The place is a little crowded and we initially had to wait a bit long. However, once started, the pace was OK. One of the dishes (crying tiger) was really disappointing, the rest was fair to good with the chicken skewers above average

No need to make a fuss about or allusive comments that would imply nobody’s coming here. In fact we are most of the time full, given the space available. We are sorry for your unexpected bad experience. Shit happens.

Incredible pad thai, probably the best one I had in Geneva! Although it does not show in the menu, they give the option to make it vegetarian (with tofu and vegetables). Perfectly spiced with the extra chilli and spicy sauce they give.

Everything was terrible, the waitress was extremely rude and unpleasant, the food was bland without any real Thai taste. No ambiance. Not recommended at all.

As usual one of my favorite places. I was just a bit sad to see the price changes.. But since the portions are enormous, it is quite worth it, frankly. They also have doge bags to take what you have not eaten home. No waste. I also saw that almost everything comes from Asia, rice, veggies, etc... that is a bit annoying since we try to keep everything as local as possible. Something to change maybe. That the food quality and taste has no match for me in Geneva. I recommend this place over and over again. Love it!
Chiang Mai Thai RestaurantThank you so much for visiting us and for your nice comment. Nevertheless, allow us to correct some inaccuracies in your words. We are a thai cuisine restaurant. This means that some of the ingredients must have been imported from Thailand, such as jasmine rice, as an example, or many thai herbs which cannot grow locally (perhaps coriander and mint but not sacred basil). For the major part of our ingredients, we purchase locally produced. The tofu is organic and produced in Coinsins (Terra Soja) and Geneva (Swiss Soja), the daily used vegetables (purchased daily) are for the most part Terre & Avenir Geneva produced or from neighbouring european countries as we supply ourselves locally. Beef and pork are local. We are also concerned about global warming and, as much as possible, we participate in limiting transport.

Very friendly and professional staff. Service was efficient and food was tasty. A tiny bit salty for my taste but it absolutely wouldn't stop me going back. Pad Thai and tigre steak were the stand outs.
