6/10The people were lovely and the restaurant was quaint and authentic, but the food was disappointing. Most of us started with the tomato bread soup which was a dense and rich tomato sauce. My son had the rabbit special, which was tough and the chicken meatballs were just ok.

6/10I chose Cibrèo for a special meal during my trip. I was on a budget and this was meant to be one of my few "splurge" meals when I treated myself to a sit-down dinner. After reading about Cibrèo on the Michelin guide and looking up reviews online, I was a bit let down by my experience. The food was okay but not as great as I had been led to expect, and I was really quite disappointed by the orange marmalade cheesecake, which I had been told this place is famous for. I had minestrone and the vegetarian (pesto) lasagna, which were fine but not remarkable. The cheesecake was so thick, to the extent that it was physically difficult to eat it. Plating and presentation were also not amazing--my first and second course came out looking sloppy. The server was friendly but the staff seemed a bit overstretched and I often had to wait quite a while for someone to be available when I needed something.

+6Love the authentic traditional style cuisine. Generous portion for sharing and casual trattoria style. A relaxing ambiance and set up but we found it quite hot and stuffy inside especially in hot summer. Wish they have better aircon or ventilation, so that we could enjoy the delicious meal even better.

Wonderful food and nice staff - too many loud Americans for my taste and no air conditioning. It was too hot, and we rushed our dinner (food was outstanding). Amazing value for money - try the beef tartare!

The specials outside of the menu were presented as entries, but the one we chose was a big, full dish, more expensive than anything else on the menu (€25 for a liver dish). If I had known that, I would not have ordered the lasagna, which was Lao not great, very oily. All in all, disappointing.

5/10Sat at table for 55 minutes, received a bottle of water and menu during that time. Tables all around us needed to be bussed. Someone, with attitude, finally came to tell us specials, took our order. Only found 1 thing on menu we wanted and it was actually served hot and delicious. The young man who brought us our food was charming and engaging.

Friendly and professional service. Appetizer was excellent but the main course was mediocre - I make better arista at home, quite honestly. For the atmosphere, here’s my thoughts. It was a chilly night and the dining room was cold with no visible means of heating and chairs were uncomfortable. Luckily, I had a jacket on as part of my dress for the evening. Not conducive to lingering over one’s dinner. On the whole, it was OK, but I’m not sure if I’d be inclined to return the next time I’m in Florence. Not inexpensive at €.57 per person including gratuity, with 1 glass of wine.

10/10Lovely Trattoria, cozy ambience and excellent home-made food. The pumpkin soup was spot on balancing sweet and spiciness, as was the beef cheek, one of the top stews we had in town. Prices maybe a bit on the high side, but considering quality and location the value is excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful, quick service. Very recommended!
