Nice experience at City. The dishes were fresh, tasty and delicious. For oysters lovers, it is a blast as they are from Algarve and sweet. We had nice cocktails and rose wine from Algarve. Our waiter was super professional. It is a 10 rating vs. all the restaurants found in baxia Albufeira. Would recommend for anyone looking for higher quality and service in a busy Albufeira.

Stunning! Spent our last 2 nights here, if only we had found it sooner. Ate upstairs, the food was amazing, lots of choices and cooked to perfection. Large portions, could have been a little smaller though

The food quality was high. Modern cuisine with variety. The service was average, they offered us only one table outside were it was a crowded street. They didn’t offer the inside tables, were the ambience looked like much better than outdoors.

I’m not one for leaving reviews but this place left me with an unpleasant feeling. The front of house staff member was not welcoming at all. Did not see him smile at anyone during our entire meal and it felt like he was looking down on us. Very snooty! Made me feel very uncomfortable and I was glad we had no further dealings with him. Fortunately the waiting staff were at least efficient. The cod dish was nice but the steak was terrible! It was inedible. There was no enquiry as to how our meal was and due to the general attitude/ ambience of the place so did not bother to raise an issue with the food and wanted to leave asap. Thankfully we had 30% discount due to booking in advance through trip advisor which brought the price down to a fairly acceptable level. It’s a pretty pricey menu for Portugal but thought we’d have a treat - unfortunately for us it was not a treat at all.

Very disappointed, the food wasn’t very nice, and not cheap, even though I had the 30% discount. The staff were unhelpful and dismissive. Wouldn’t return, which is a shame as we have been before it was so nice, that’s why we travelled from Portimao to Albufeira, it was my husbands birthday as well, so really unhappy and dissatisfied.

Our waiter Don was excellent, very attentive and great advice. The food was excellent. Four of us dined , 2 of us had 3 courses and the other 2 had 2 courses and all loved all of it. All had something different to the others and all enjoyed it.

City Kitchen with a Beat is an absolute gem in the heart of Albufeira. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, attentive service that made us feel right at home. The food was nothing short of outstanding—every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, with great music and a stylish, comfortable setting that lives up to the name. We’ve dined all over Albufeira, and this is hands down the best restaurant in town. Highly recommended—you won’t be disappointed!

**Review for City Kitchen With A Beat** I recently dined at City Kitchen With A Beat, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make my girlfriend and me feel comfortable, and their attentiveness truly made our experience special. A massive thank you to all the staff, especially the gentleman from Kenya—your service was amazing! I apologize for not remembering your name, but your warmth and hospitality made our visit unforgettable. We can't wait to return!
