We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the courtyard on a beautiful October evening. The menu was creative, the service impeccable. A quiet, elegant and classy pearl in the heart of a busy neighborhood.

Nothing went well. We were Ingored the majority of the time while the table next to us received the utmost attention. Then after we advised we didn’t eat pork the main dish arrived with pork. After waiting 40 mins for the main dish. When we told the waiter he was like oh and never suggested a fix. We left promptly. I would never go back and will tell others the same. We have eaten at many Michelin star restaurants and never had this experience. I was shocked.

Quiet peaceful atmosphere. We took Grand menu and everything was delicious , though duck with speck was too salty for both of us. Besides that everything was good 😊

The hostess was amazing. I can't say enough good things about her and the front reception. She fought for us to get a table after accidentally missing our reservation and she was so accomodating and helpful. The service once we got in was medium. Very slow. The appetizer came out cold and we sat without wine for most of our meal as we were not approached for a very long time. We would have loved to have had some more to drink. The restaurant was half empty when we were there as we were eating later in the evening around 10pm so we didn't understand where our server went to. The pasta was delicious once we got it. It was a very very long wait for food.

Everything about this visit was 100% amazing. Our host was incredibly helpful and kind, the food was amazing, and the towering garden wall beautiful and refreshing to see after wandering stone corridors for hours!

Excellent food, cocktails & service. The restaurant was kind enough to accommodate us even though we were very late for our booking. We ate in the garden and it is a beautiful relaxed setting perfectly matching the standard of the food & drink. The friendly attentive staff were absolutely faultless.

The food was good, very nice prezented on the plates, the service very nice and good but we were the only guests and we have missed to experience the life of Barcelona. If you are searching for quiet and Peace and good food this is a very good place.

Ambiance is grown and sexy. Food was good, especially the duck. Croquettes were tasty, though not extraordinary. Vibe was really cool on a Friday evening with a DJ.

The food and drinks were 10/10. The service was terrible. We spent 8 days in Barcelona and were accustomed to the different level of service that you can typically get in Spain but this restaurant was the lowest of the low. We were the only table in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. The staff of 4 hung around talking 10 feet from our table and never came around to see how we were doing. Our drinks were empty and no one came to see if we wanted to order more. I’m not one to write bad reviews but we almost felt awkward being there, like we were an inconvenience even though it was only 8:30 when we left. At one point they even starting taking photos together. I was waving my arms around (and I hate gesturing servers over) trying to get someone’s attention to get another drink, after it taking 4 tries we ended up just asking for our bill. We ended up going to Paradiso for more drinks, but would have been happy to stay at Contraban and try more from their cocktail menu.

The dish we tried was good but overall the restaurant is quite expensive. Service is a bit too cold. Reception not welcoming. We had lunch in the patio, which is nice but you still need to have the shadow open because of pigeons or falling plants from the planted wall…

Room was very elegant, although my request to sit at the bar was not accommodated. The food presentation was very good, but textures and flavors were off. The DJ was playing music that was dated and sleep inducing. Everything was overly salty, (and I really like salt.) Nothing was of a level of a fine dining hotel restaurant. The gnocchi were mushy, not airy. The thick saffron sauce clashed the the squid ink sauce. The was no moistness to the bone marrow osso buco. the potato and cheese pastry was a salty pub grub mess that could have been frozen. it all was quite bad. The table next to us were very underwhelmed by the food as well.

Staff so friendly and professionnal, very nice mood in the restaurant with nice music, food was delicious

We came here because of the great reviews. It was a Monday evening, so unfortunately quite. Little ambience. Food was ok not outstanding. We encountered an incident, and got reseated. With good customer service you may expect a word about it or some kind of “goodie” such as a coffee or a drink on the house but there was no acknowledgment. We left disappointed due to high expectations.
