9.5/10This restaurant is run by wonderful people who make fantastic food. An absolutely must go. Make reservations as the place is small - this would be the only area of concern as it was a little tight inside. Starting with the staff, we were warmly greeted and offered assistance with the wine list. We ordered two glasses of wine - Riesling - which was a by the bottle price. The waiter let us know he would see if he could do by glass. We heard the owner tell him to just open a new bottle and give us two glasses. Amazing service. We had the duck ragu and carbonara, both of which were amazing. The pasta was so filling, we had no more room for dessert, however we were offered limoncello on the house. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t eat more things on the menu. Everything looks so amazing. If we have the opportunity, we would definitely be back. The people make this place, you are well taken care of here. Highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10The food here is always fantastic and Valerio (owner) truly loves what he does. We had the parmigiana, fettuccine with black truffles, and veal chop. Every time I visit Rome with my family, we eat here. Everyone speaks very good English and are very patient in explaining the menu. They also make a excellent wine recommendations.

10/10We came in early. 6:30pm is early to eat in Rome but not where we come from. We had walked all over, all day and coming into this restaurant felt like entering a well loved home. The waitresses were lovely and attentive. The owner proudly ensured everything was great. You could tell he owned the restaurant as his passion and care was evident. I loved the eggplant parmigiana for starters and I had Spaghetti carbonara which was way beyond my cooking talents. So wonderful. My husband loved his prosciutto and then mushroom fettuccini. 10/10Our server, David, was amazing and made confident, delicious reccomendations! The eggplant parm was a surprise standout, the perfect simplicity and sweetness of the 3 tomato sauce pasta was decident, and the Ribeye was tender, juicy, and prepared perfectly! The som was also amazing and helped guide us to the perfect wine pairings for our meals ! We had an awesome experience, will reccomend, and will be back when we visit next!

Very pleasant host/waiter/manager. Described the restaurant and its food nicely. Had a sampling of several dishes. The Caprese salad was solid. The smoked baked potato was tasty. Our pastas were well made and delicious. The sea bass ravioli and the carbonara. The tiramisu was very creamy and excellent. I would rate this experience quite high and the food the same.

10/10A delightful dinner! The setting was comfortable, the service attentive and helpful, and the food divine! The caprese salad was off-the-vine fresh, the steak tasty and immense, and the duck ragu with fettuccine just about perfect. Recommend highly, and hope to return.

10/10The best meal we had in Rome! Very attentive and friendly staff, and the food was incredible! We ordered the toasted bread with cheese and black truffle, the Spaghetti Carbonara, and the Rigatoni Amatriciana - highly recommend all of it! I would absolutely go back when in Rome again.

We had a fantastic dinner at this wonderful and cozy place. The service was excelent and the food was extraordinary, at the right temperature and very tasty. The pasta with truffle was out of this world, as well as the ravioli. The chiken was good with lemon and the desert was marvellous. In a nutshell, one of our best experience in a City with loads of places to eat.

10/10The food, service and wine were great. We took a group of 5 and all tried something different. The pasta dishes were fantastic and we even got to try a new vegetable: puntarelle. For those who may have American expectations - please note the streaks are served rare and the contorini comes after the pasta (or perhaps after the main as we mostly ordered pasta courses). All fine for our group, but good to know. We will likely be back!

This was our first family meal in Rome and it was fantastic. The food was great, but the best part was the kindness of the servers. They welcomed us, a Korean family, so kindly from the beginning, and they were so kind from the food description to the alcohol guide. Their smiles and words at every moment made me feel cared for and interested, and it made my impression of Rome as a city itself improve. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area because of the best servers and delicious food.

Hard to fault this beautiful little place. Simple, exquisite food. Unusual exploration as well as Roman classics and perfect local wine. The fried eggs with truffle, spatchcocked rooster and potato and artichokes were all perfect. The service is relaxed but engaged and helpful. Untouched by fashion or over ambition this back street gem is the kind of place you dream of returning to.

4.5/10booked a table for new years eve at Da Mario instead, we were installed in another restaurant across the street ("chez les amis"), with much less atmosphere we had read stellar reviews about da Mario and were very excited before our booking, however the experience was not in line with our expectations (and price paid for new year fixed menu)

Happy new year and I remember congratulations for your next life Thank you so much for your expectation but we were absolutely clear in our communication about the different rooms, on the fork and by mail and by WhatsApp messages. Every body had the chance to decide the room and the different menu The fixed menu was the best selection of our standard menu cooked by our chef So we wish to see you again and experience what you were waiting for Happy and happy new year!
