This restaurant was rated 4.7 out of 5 on TripAdvisor. Based on that, I went with my wife expecting something special - but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. For starters, we ordered artichokes, prawns, and ham stir-fry. For mains, we had the Galician beef entrecôte and the gratin codfish with garlic & tomato. The starters were fine, but nothing memorable. The beef entrecôte was very chewy and fatty. I ended up spitting out about a quarter of the meat because it was simply too tough and unpleasant to eat - not exactly ideal. Overall it was a disappointment, and honestly not much better than the steaks you’d get at a pub in the UK. As for the codfish, the tomato sauce didn’t pair well with the dish. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t remarkable either. Their service was mediocre at best. The waiter wasn’t rude but seemed distracted and eager for us to finish quickly and leave. His attitude felt cold and lacked hospitality one would expect from a restaurant with 4.7 rating.

Unengaged staff giving poor service . We had to leave 50% of the main dishes uneaten as the staff left it for ourselves to cook with no explanation whatsoever .

One meal was undercooked and even after it was conveyed it was still brought back undercooked and we did not enjoy. Server also didn’t know who ordered what meal. Food was just OK.

We ordered starters with appropriate wine pairings and a main meal. They forgot our starters and we were presented with just our main course. It seemed the waitress had made a genuine mistake which was disappointing but we accepted without fuss. However the chap be hind the bar took exception to us and halfway through our meal brought ONE starter with two spoons and stuck it abruptly on the table. When I (politely) said ‘no thanks’ he said ‘free’ and turned on his heel with no apology.

Bar/restaurant in a side street with a few other eating establishments. Service was good from cheery and friendly staff and the menu had plenty of choice. Food was tasty enough although too much garlic in the sauce for me.

Our second visit on this trip and even better than our first. Maria took great care of us. Food was superb Extensive choice to suit all tastes. Wine very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Service could not be faulted. The Fork promotion a welcome bonus.
