10/10Fantastic food and wonderful service. Can strongly recommend the belly pork main, simply melts in your mouth and very tasty. As for the dessert we shared the sticky date pudding….yum! Very reasonably priced too so you must give this little gem a try!

9.5/10+2We had an incredible experience in that restaurant the chef is amazing all the dishes were excellent , special and unique. It is not a show of …restaurant but a really excellent chef that would like to show his abilities. The pork belly was Super same with the Salmon sashimi and even the Guacamole was special.

9.5/10Chef Jennings rightly reserves the Michelin status. Food was fresh and well fused, not confused. Service was friendly but I think our guy was new and at times we felt rushed. Crocs, Roo, Tomyam rice a must followed by the sticky pudding. Not to mention the Sollaire vino verde that paired with all. The price was just right! Thanks to The Fork for the 30%off. Highly recommend.

10/10The food was so beautifully prepared. I had vegetables that I don't particularly like, but I eat them. Those veggies prepared at Down Under I LOVED! The fish was so beautifully seasoned, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I also loved the fact that the owner/chef, Justin Jennings, took the time to come out and visit with his consumers and was willing to explain how things were cooked. So far, in my 67 years, this is the most memorable meal I have ever had the pleasure of consuming (and I eat quite regularly)!

10/10We arrived a few minutes earlier and were seated right away. The food is excellent, from tasting menu to other dishes and dessert. Miguel was awesome. Chef Justin came out and said hello, nice touch. Beautiful decor and intimate place.

10/10+1It was my niece's birthday 🎂. Chef came out and introduced himself and gave her a little birthday chocolate and candle to blow. Made her night!! Plus the food was absolutely incredible! Everyone in our party enjoyed the meal! Outstanding to say the least!

9/10Faultless service and relaxed comfortable decor. Wine pairing was suitable using a value selection. The food prep was nearly perfectly executed. The expression of creativity left room to desire, relying on asian flavors like tom yum, plum sauce, and five spice for novelty, when in fact they were overused to the point of boredom. The repeated sous vide dishes were also too pillowy and unadventurous. If we overlook the lack of creativity, the food, particularly the grilled fish, was nonetheless very well done and most enjoyable. The portion was rather too small, however. I left unsatisfied after the six course menu, and have just picked up a crepe takeout to make up the shortfall.

10/10Another amazing meal at this friendly and delicious Michelin Guide restaurant. This time we tried the marvelous creation of Chef Justin, the Kangaroo Shepherd pie. If you like lamb shank with an Australian twist then this dish is the way to go. Also, the Covina fish dish was to die for, paired with the NZ sauvignon blonc which was very smooth and refreshing.

10/10Everything about our visit to Downunder was top notch! Warm, friendly, informative service and incredible food and wine pairings. The shared couvert (breadbasket with a tasty assortment of warm breads and butter) and shrimp appetizer, the kangaroo and pork belly main dishes, as well as the dessert (affogato), were all nicely presented and absolutely delicious. We followed our server's wine suggestions and were glad that we did. A lovely meal at a highly recommended restaurant!

10/10+2I have been living in Lisbon for almost 4 years and I regret not knowing about this amazing restaurant. I am foodie, chef, and nutritionist, and I have dined in thousands of restaurants including many Mechlin stars and Mechlin guide restaurants. I would say this restaurant is on the list of my top 10 restaurants in Lisbon. If you are food enthusiastic, adventurous, and appreciate creative dishes, sauces, and spices, then you don't need to look further...this is your place. The food is infused with flavors from multiple cuisines. Australian, Asian, African, etc. Each dish is prepared with unique sauces and spices to bring it to perfection. Our order was: Appetizers: Pork Belly, Kangaroo pate, crocodile salad, and the prawns. Mail course: Corvina fish and Kangaroo steak. All were amazing, and I would give them 10/10, except for the Kangaroo pate, I would give it 6/10 (this is just my opinion). The service was also amazing, our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable.

9.5/10This was our highlight meal of our trip to Portugal. Who would have thought about Australian food in Portugal? Kangaroo tartar was delicious. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable about their dishes. Food and services were one of the best we have ever experience. The only point against this restaurant was that their air conditioner situation needs improvement. They have 2 floors, and if they run their AC on both floors that power goes out. For the quality of food and the cost of the meal, you would think they will have settle in an environment/ambiance that can manage the patrons of the restaurant. BUT even with that inconvenience, this is a must try place/food.
