10/10This was our best meal in Cagliari and we had a few! Chef Luca’s imagination is genius! My only regret is not taking the tasting menu! Splurge and treat yourself !Service should not be omitted also,very attentive but not invasive. No reservations at all in recommending this establishment.

7.5/10We visited the restaurant based on as one of the recommendations in Michellin guide. We selected the 6course tasting menu (90€) however our expectation where not satisfied. The food was average for our taste and in comparison with other restaurants did notvsuuport the prices..

One would expect high quality food & service from anything in the Michelin guide, but Duanima exceeded our already high expectations. We went a la carte (there are lots of tasting menus on offer) and the food was exceptional, made all the more special by Chef Luca's warm & helpful presence in the dining room. His suckling pig was the highlight of our trip.

10/10Incredible gastronomic experience. An absolute MUST in all of Sardinia. It will not disappoint, made our trip to Sardinia worth while. This was the best experience in the entire country, the meal created an emotional healing experience, which very literally brought tears rolling down our faces. Thank you to Chef Luca for allowing us to indulge in your art, here is to another Michelin star in your future.

6.5/10From the photos we had seen, we expected a gourmet experience. We selected the 5 course meal and the food quality was mixed at best without the expected presentation level given the price point. The chef chose what to serve us and it was possibly food that he reserved for tourists? Our worst experience in an otherwise perfect week of dining in Cagliari.

10/10We went to Duanima as it was close to our place and we were delighted we did. Richard and the whole team did a great job looking after us while we did not have the tasting menu, they created something lovely for us with paired wines. Brilliant

8.5/10Food was great. A bit surprised by the rigid menu. No room for customization due to allergies and/or taste. All participants at same table was required to select the same, "Tasting menu" or "A la carte". As we selected tasting menu, we were given a selection of either fish or meat. As one participants, wasn't fond of fish, all on same table were forced to also select meat. Due to above the issues during ordering, the experience were starting a bit lower than necessary. Good wine and food luckily increased the positive experience. Quite hot inside. No air conditioning. We skipped dessert/coffee to cool down.

Elegant restaurant, excellent good, good wine. We were a group of friends and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. This restaurant definitely deserves the Michelin stars it gained this year.

10/10The service, from the sommelier in particular, was exceptional. Extremely knowledgeable about the wines and made a real effort to showcase the selection. The restaurant itself is elegant with a casual but refined environment. The food was carefully crafted and complex yet demonstrated local ingredients without being unduly intimidating. Everything was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a hidden gem - leave yourself in the care of the chef and his team and you will be well taken care of.

9/10Food was excellent all around, especially the red prawn salad. Wine was good too. Service was fine but probably suffered a bit from just having one person managing front of house. Quality overall is very good value for money as restaurants with similar standards of food are usually more expensive.

10/10The choice of fresh local ingredients and overall food quality was exceptional- we came for lunch and chose the prawn salad and the French toast with lamb followed by the risotto and fish - we finished with the baked ricotta dessert- all dishes were great. So glad we decided to try this restaurant and the service was so friendly and efficient- we hope to return soon.

This little restaurant was an amazing find. I celebrated my birthday there and we went for the 4 course tasting menu but after the first dish we decided to upgrade to the 6 course menu as we were both very curious to try as many dishes as possible. We found 4 would have been perfectly enough but we didn’t regret walking back home absolutely stuffed as each and every dish was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!

10/10Imaginative menus prepared to the highest standards reflecting Sardinian cuisine at its absolute best, superb in everything - professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff, delicious and imaginative dishes, excellent wines and a lovely atmosphere. The chef is in every way first-rate and obviously totally committed to his craft. It was an honour to eat in this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the chef's so well-considered and lovingly prepared taster menu - molte molte grazie! (Also posted to Trip Advisor)

10/10This restaurant was the gastronomic highlight of our time in Cagliari. We had the four-course tasting menu with wines. Everything was delicious--and also imaginatively and beautifully prepared. Surprising and wonderful combinations of flavors and textures, and each dish expertly paired with a local wine. Portions and the spacing of courses were just right. Duanima is a gem of a restaurant, and we're so glad we got to experience it.

10/10What a wonderful surprise! Although off the beaten track, Duanima is an exceptional restaurant serving cuisine that rivals the very best restaurants we’ve ever experienced both at home and abroad. As we discovered following our first meal there, Duanima’s chef and owner studied and worked in an array of major cities from Milan to Paris to Tokyo and beyond. Such experience is clearly evident in the imagination and precision with which his dishes are prepared. And we’d also like to praise the friendly and welcoming staff and the service they provided us. We wish that Duanima could be transported to our own home city.

7/10We were recommended this restaurant and told to definitely book. A total of 8 other people were there the whole evening, on a Friday night, so sadly it lacked atmosphere. The food (we had the taster menu) and service were lovely, but a little expensive

+1Wonderful little restaurant a little bit off - but very close to - the Main Street (Corso) where everyone gathers. Food was inventive and delicious - a nice fish ball w yoghurt Sauce amuse bouche to start; an amazing egg and potato dish (reminded my partner of a delicate version of Korean potato salad of her youth) and lovely raw Capone “salad” with fruit which was beautifully sweet without being cloying. Main dishes were a super tasty rice dish w snapper reminiscent of risotto but not creamy as it is made with oil (better as less heavy in some estimation). And a robust filet of mullet with earthy flavors paired with spinach. Hearty portions which made us skip desert (although I was eyeing the chocolate in 4 textures). Lovely staff and modern yet cozy surroundings. Relaxed atmosphere. They offered tasting menus with wine pairings as well but due to dietary restrictions we didn’t do that. Modest wine list - we had a tart Greco which worked well. Prices seemed quite reasonable considering quality and quantity.

6/10Food was instagram worthy but taste did not match up. Restaurant was quiet (only 5 tables) but we felt ignored by the waiting staff once we had placed our order(the waiter Luke did give us a very good wine recommendation though). Nobody checked back to see if food was ok or if we required anything else (more wine perhaps). 3 times we asked for the bill and waited half an hour for it as staff swooned over two tables and ignored everyone else). Lack of service ruined what could have been a nice experience.

This is a FANTASTIC restaurant. The service was excellent! The chef came out frequently to make sure the Italian dish was explained well in English; in a genuine way. It was enjoyable. A good vibe. Oh. The food?? Oh yea. DIVINE! The spectrum was amazing from vegan, seafood, meat. It hit every culinary chord! Do yourself a favor by indulging this restaurant! You will spend your subsequent time replete with the experience.
