Perfect ! Very good food, very good service and kid friendly !

We chose to visit El Caminito after reading the positive reviews on The Fork. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Although the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, likely due to the time of year, the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend El Caminito to anyone looking for a great steak and lamb chops!

I can't understand how it got such a high rating. It's tasteless, the place is cold, and half the menu is missing.

Absolutely sublime! We started with some garlic prawns… drenched in the most delicious sauce I’ve ever eaten! Massive portions. One starter is enough to share! Then the steak…. Fantastic quality and cooked to perfection. Could not recommend more highly! Such good value!

Excellent meal.. I would suggest that the steaks are cooked on the rare side. I ordered medium rare and it was very rare. If this is not for you I would suggest you order medium to get medium rare.

This was one of the worst experiences we had in a steak house. We rarely give negative reviews but the experience was very disappointing. The waiters were not able to explain the menu , the steaks were mediocre and yet pricey. To compound this we were seriously overcharged. For people who know stake stay away

The food is excellent. The staff is so nice! I highly recommend this place.

Normally a favourite. But ambiance downstairs was close to zero. Beef selection was disappointing. Service was not terrible but far from amazing.

The food was amazing and the menu has a lot of variety. We left thinking about what we could order a next time there. The view is also incredible and there is a good wine selection. Highly recommend the restaurant.

We both got ill quickly after leaving; really, really ill that lasted hours. We suspect the meat is treated with tenderizers or an abundance of MSG, though this wasn't noted as a warning on the menu. The servers were simply harassing us to order, before we could even remove our jackets and take our seats. And yet, we had to repeat our beverage orders twice! The steak was an excellent cut, delicious, just very dangerous to us. Vegies were cold; baked potato not fully cooked. We've loved this location, the restaurant in its several different cuisines over the years, but will not recommend this nor return because of the experience of becoming so debilitatingly ill.

Not a huge meat fan really, but occasionally we want a good steak. El Caminito did not disappoint us. Highlights: a really great (young Brazilian) waiter, excellent sweet potato fries, steak cooked to perfection (rare-medium), perfect central cascais location, and a lively but not noisy ambience. Fantastic in every way.

The meat was, indeed, excellent. But the place is very impersonal and lacks warmth (a tv screen hung at the wall is not constitent with the prixe range…), we did not feel welcome and the quality of the dishes did not match the prices.

This is one of the best restaurants in Cascais. Every time we stay we book here. The tables upstairs are superb, overlooking the sea…. We will defo be back 😊

The food and service were excellent. We really enjoyed our steaks - perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was friendly and professional. We ate upstairs and the view was nice. Highly recommend if you want a great steak.

This is a restaurant worth a visit… everything was great, staff, good and a great view from the table. We had starters and steaks which were great. Fair prices on both food and wines, so if we will visit again when we will be back in Cascais…

Second visit to this restaurant, unfortunately this year the amount of salt on the food made it almost inedible.Informed staff but nothing was done, shame,won’t be returning.

Hidden just steps away from the town square and its touristy restaurants, this gem has a wonderul view of the beach from its upper level. This was our third visit to El Caminito and we were happy we returned. The steaks are to die for and the sides we ordered were excellent. The service is very attentive.

Recommended by another chef in town. Food and service did not disappoint. Steak was prepared perfectly. Sides were good. Overall great value. Service was good, not rushed. Winner in my book.
