4.5/10We both got ill quickly after leaving; really, really ill that lasted hours. We suspect the meat is treated with tenderizers or an abundance of MSG, though this wasn't noted as a warning on the menu. The servers were simply harassing us to order, before we could even remove our jackets and take our seats. And yet, we had to repeat our beverage orders twice! The steak was an excellent cut, delicious, just very dangerous to us. Vegies were cold; baked potato not fully cooked. We've loved this location, the restaurant in its several different cuisines over the years, but will not recommend this nor return because of the experience of becoming so debilitatingly ill.

9/10Not a huge meat fan really, but occasionally we want a good steak. El Caminito did not disappoint us. Highlights: a really great (young Brazilian) waiter, excellent sweet potato fries, steak cooked to perfection (rare-medium), perfect central cascais location, and a lively but not noisy ambience. Fantastic in every way.

4/10The meat was, indeed, excellent. But the place is very impersonal and lacks warmth (a tv screen hung at the wall is not constitent with the prixe range…), we did not feel welcome and the quality of the dishes did not match the prices.

10/10The food and service were excellent. We really enjoyed our steaks - perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was friendly and professional. We ate upstairs and the view was nice. Highly recommend if you want a great steak.

10/10This is a restaurant worth a visit… everything was great, staff, good and a great view from the table. We had starters and steaks which were great. Fair prices on both food and wines, so if we will visit again when we will be back in Cascais…

5/10Second visit to this restaurant, unfortunately this year the amount of salt on the food made it almost inedible.Informed staff but nothing was done, shame,won’t be returning.

10/10Hidden just steps away from the town square and its touristy restaurants, this gem has a wonderul view of the beach from its upper level. This was our third visit to El Caminito and we were happy we returned. The steaks are to die for and the sides we ordered were excellent. The service is very attentive.

10/10Excellent steaks and meal. Grilled veggies and aubergine carpaccio were very good, so we’re the sweet potatoes French fries! Service was very attentive. This restaurant is really good and frequented mainly by locals. Not cheap but worth the detour.

8.5/10The sirloin steaks (250g/350g) were delicious. We both asked for them medium and they were cooked perfectly. The fries, veg and ‘dips’ complimented perfectly. Highly recommend

7.5/10Got talked into spending an extra 13 euros on “premium entrecôte”. It was nice but surely the standard entrecôte at 22.5 Euros was also nice…. Felt just a bit ripped off.

9/10We were delighted to get a booking here during the Cascais music festival. Our table upstairs had a lovely view towards the sea and the festival stage. The food was delicious, large portions. Staff were very friendly and welcoming as well as careful and precise in taking our orders.

10/10Both of our steaks were very well cooked . The waiter gave good guidance on how the different cuts of steak should be cooked to maximise flavour He wasn’t wrong . Lovely roasted vegetables, plenty of taste Good salad. Would definitely come again . Thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance
