We both got ill quickly after leaving; really, really ill that lasted hours. We suspect the meat is treated with tenderizers or an abundance of MSG, though this wasn't noted as a warning on the menu. The servers were simply harassing us to order, before we could even remove our jackets and take our seats. And yet, we had to repeat our beverage orders twice! The steak was an excellent cut, delicious, just very dangerous to us. Vegies were cold; baked potato not fully cooked. We've loved this location, the restaurant in its several different cuisines over the years, but will not recommend this nor return because of the experience of becoming so debilitatingly ill.

Not a huge meat fan really, but occasionally we want a good steak. El Caminito did not disappoint us. Highlights: a really great (young Brazilian) waiter, excellent sweet potato fries, steak cooked to perfection (rare-medium), perfect central cascais location, and a lively but not noisy ambience. Fantastic in every way.

The meat was, indeed, excellent. But the place is very impersonal and lacks warmth (a tv screen hung at the wall is not constitent with the prixe range…), we did not feel welcome and the quality of the dishes did not match the prices.

The food and service were excellent. We really enjoyed our steaks - perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was friendly and professional. We ate upstairs and the view was nice. Highly recommend if you want a great steak.
