5.5/10Seating is so so. If you want a great meal you don’t want to be uncomfortable in a high top chair and in a tight situation. Food was OK. Sardines were cooked but not great. Eggplant was OK. A little mushy and not a great seasoning. They rest there laurels on ‘History’ and not great cooking! Would not go back. Too many other great restaurants in El Born and Barcelona as a whole!

2/10The place is a Fake, Asturian recipes, no even close, taste less, Fabada wasn’t a big deal. Cider Chorizos, a joke ! Please do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else. They call themselves a restaurant., well just a Bar with 4 tables with high chairs. Too expensive for what you are getting.

10/10This was my second visit to this tiny little restaurant in the historic city center. I was here five years ago during my last visit to Barcelona from the USA. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They even have good vegetarian dishes which was pretty unusual. The drinks are incredible. It's a very informal type of atmosphere with very few tables as such and really Sitting in a communal setting rubbing shoulders with other locals and tourists who know about this place. The only negative I have on this restaurant is that they want you to order all your food at one time which makes it challenging. I think it will be better to allow people to order food in batches just like we can add additional drinks and food to the initial order. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff and of course the food.

10/10One of the best restaurants I’ve been in Barcelona! So traditional and cozy, and when I got there it was smelling soo good. 🫶🏾 I shared a table with a girl with no reservation and it was awesome cause we had good talk and good food and we also could share some with each other to try cause we were both alone. I orderes the pan with tomato and its simple but worth a try cause its good!! And the star of othe night was the octopus with potato milfol and chimichurri sauce, perfectly coooked and the spices were good and also the potato melted in the mouth!! And also the wine recommendation was incredible!! I highly recommend this place if u want a great meal in a tradicional place, with amazing service and OMG that chocolate croissant for dessert 😍😍 10/10 thanks for everything

5.5/10Food is great, however the staff acts so hectic that the atmosphere becomes a bit crazy and the experience inside the restaurant is weird. The staffs runs, shouts, overreacts, hits the customers with the plates, cutlery falling down, food barely fitting in the tables. Noisy as heel that you can’t keep a conversation and even hear the person you have in front!

10/10+3This little restaurant was off the hook!!! The ambiance, food and service was second to none. Every aspect of a complete dining experience was met in spades. From the moment we entered El Chigre we knew we were in for something special and we were not disappointed. If and when we come back to Barcelona this place will be on our To Do List again, maybe twice!!
