Everything was great, but it seems like the staff wasn’t used to customers paying via The Fork. Took a while for him to confirm my payment, though I did ask him in advance if it’d be OK to pay via this app (which he promptly said OK).

Was recommended by a friend and El Chigre didn't disappoint. It has a small number of covers, but it gives an excellent service and the food was interesting and of a very high quality (as was the wine). Will definitely go again when next in Barca.

This is a very small restaurant with 1 large table a Bar and 4 small tables. The chairs are all Stools and very uncomfortable. It sucks to pay $80 for dinner and you have to stand up half the meal. The food was good but not incredible. One staff member was running around over welmed until another staff member showed up about a Hr Later.

Food was average to poor. Beer was blend and had no bubbles. It tasted like a beer that was standing to long on the table. We gave it back. They didn't ask why we gave it back. I have eaten in many restaurants in Barcelona and this is far from good. White wine Alberino was sour, cheap quality.

We have been to El Chigre a few times and truly consider it our happy place. Found coincidentally wandering through the streets of Barcelona almost 10 years ago, El Chigre never stopped delivering great food by a small family-like team. We have our favorites from the menu, though every dish is beautifully thought through and executed. Thank you

Excellent food, inventive dishes and everything tasted so fresh. The service however felt rushed and we were cramped on to the bar, which we didn't expect. Next time we will request a table and reserve earlier so not to be racing against the clock. But we will return, because the food was delicious.

I visited twice and can tell that the food and service are in consistent. The first time the black rice was delicious and had crispy edges the way paella should have. The second time the black rice was bland and no crispy edges. The push the daily fish but it’s not prepared in a tasty way. You have to ask to have it cleaned or else they won’t bother to do it.
