10/10Was recommended by a friend and El Chigre didn't disappoint. It has a small number of covers, but it gives an excellent service and the food was interesting and of a very high quality (as was the wine). Will definitely go again when next in Barca.

This is a very small restaurant with 1 large table a Bar and 4 small tables. The chairs are all Stools and very uncomfortable. It sucks to pay $80 for dinner and you have to stand up half the meal. The food was good but not incredible. One staff member was running around over welmed until another staff member showed up about a Hr Later.

We loved the relaxed but buzzy atmosphere and the food was so great! Grilled steaks and prawns and a little potato dish with blue cheese I think…. divine!

3/10Food was average to poor. Beer was blend and had no bubbles. It tasted like a beer that was standing to long on the table. We gave it back. They didn't ask why we gave it back. I have eaten in many restaurants in Barcelona and this is far from good. White wine Alberino was sour, cheap quality.
