Our daughter chose Spain for a trip because she had loved the Cochinillo in Segovia last time we visited. Since we tried to visit other towns this trip I thought we could just have it in Madrid but it wasn't very good. Most of us didn't even eat any of it.

My husband ordered the cochinillo and I ordered the grilled cod, both were cooked to perfection, in my humble opinion. The cochinillo was fall-off-the-bone tender and the fish was just right, not overcooked. I would recommend!

I had the roast suckling pork as I chose this restaurant specifically for this. For 35 euros, the portion was mainly crispy skin and bones, and although nice, it was a bit of a rip off. I am comparing this to the Michelin star restaurant that I went in Segovia which served a bigger and a delicious portion for 31 euros! I was still hungry and had yogurt for dessert, which was refreshing.

We were charged for bread and some chorizo which we did not ask for. They were served few minutes after we sat down. The food was nothing special and does not justify the price that is surely above average. Not worth it.

Authentic Spanish restaurant! We skipped starters, knowing the suckling pig and lamb would be a meal in themselves—and they were exceptional. We ended on a high note with the apple tart and ice cream.

Food/Service is pricier than warranted, very slow service due to high patronage. My group had salad, roasted lamb, and roasted suckling pig. They weren't bad but we weren't overcome by awe that we were hoping for. Maybe roasted lamb/pigs are more of traditional delicacies as opposed to a modern one and I had unrealistic expectations. But it wasn't something to write home about. They do make for great photos though :)

We had a party of 8. They had the table ready for us. The wait staff was kind, funny, courteous. The food was very tasty. Fresh. Both Castilian and gazpacho soup were fantastic. Loved the atmosphere. Was not touristy. I highly recommend.

Very expensive restaurant. They also charge for a welcome taste without one having ordered it. A plate of just tomatoes 15 euro also not. Nothing to say about the staff, who are courteous.

The food was delicious!!! The waitress seemed really sad though and there was no music so you could hear the clatter from the kitchen and the sirens from the street.
