10/10Excellent and unique menu. Service was outstanding - attentive but also left us alone to enjoy our food. Fascinating to watch our waiter thinly slice the Ibérica jamón. We had the grilled octopus appetizer, and baked cod and their pork special for the mains, all of which we’d choose again. The after dinner complimentary mini-dessert was unique (coffee liquor topped with cream), which we will be recreating once back home. Location excellent just opposite El Senado building.

7/10The restaurant decoration was nice. Took a fair bit of photos. The food was slightly above average, I liked the crispyness of the pork skin, however, the overall dish was a bit bland for my liking. And the price is steep for me. We spent about €70 for 2 persons. Thus, I gave 7 out of 10 overall.

9.5/10I found the restaurant on Google maps and after looking over some of the reviews, decided to book through The Fork app. On arriving the restaurant, we were shown to our table and while no one spoke English and we didn't speak Spanish, we got along great with our server. We ordered the Ham and cheese plate to start with suckling pig and lamb as our mains. They were amazing! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

10/10El Senador was five stars for us the minute we walked in. The chef greeted us and was very welcoming. The servers, though they didn’t speak English, understood what I said with my limited Spanish. The cochinillo was so juicy and tasty while the skin was very crispy. The potatoes that came with it were flavorful. Our appetizer of tomato with tuna was delicate and sweet. Oh, and the chorizo and olive oil were delish. I love the old world look of the restaurant and it the tables were not crowded at all. Overall, we were very happy to dine here.
