9.5/10One of the better food experiences we had on our 2 week trip in Italy. Very good attentive service staff. Sister restaurant has a Michelin star and I can see why.

9/10The food and wine are excellent here. Sometimes a large group will come in and cause a heavy workload on the wait staff. This happened on our second visit and we waited almost an hour after our reservation time to be served. Our waiter was very apologetic and the food was worth the wait. The pasta was very tasty and not undercoooked as it has been in several restaurants we have experienced. The Modus Nobili wine is excellent and not overpriced. They do a good job on their meat dishes also, such as the Fiorintine steak.

4/10We were a group of six and had booked in advance. We were provided a table right in front of the door despite other tables in the restaurant being free. We were not provided a wine menu in the beginning and had to ask for it separately. We had ordered 5 starters - the egg dish with asparagus was nice, the platter of cheese and cold meat was underwhelming ( possibly the meat slices were cut way too earlier than when they were served to us ), the terrine felt too sweet and it felt like neither a terrine or pate, the raw chianina beef tasted nice but way too much was slapped on the plate for a starter. Fortunately my son did enjoy eating half of it. The most disappointing was the quality of the T-Bone steak. It lacked flavor, was served way too cold and didn't have the amount of fat we are used to see in Fiorintina. While serving the starter ( which had both beef and pork dishes) the waiter started talking in our native language ( bengali ) and with a very surprised look asked whether we actually ate pork since according to him not many people ( hinting on our background ) actually eat pork. It was an extremely biased comment that ruined everyone's mood. The wine in our glasses wasn't topped up either and we refilled our glasses on our own. At the end we were so disgusted with the experience we just wanted to leave. It felt suffocating sitting there and waiting for the bill. Am surprised this restaurant has so many goid reviews. We later checked that on google a lot if the positive reviews have been provided by local guides which I always take with a pinch of salt.

7.5/10Tucked into a side-street off Piazza de La Independenzia, this is a truly interesting option for dinner. The food was some of the best we had on our trip in Tuscany - simple, but super savoury and very well executed. A highlight for me was the tagliolini filled with ricotta and parmesan in a perfect pesto sauce. The wine list is also well-chosen and extensive, but be warned: it has been comprehensively pilfered by eagle-eyes tourists. Also disappointing was the fact that the wines are not served at the right temperature. The Enoteca has amazing bottles, but you have to wonder how they have been stored. The lady owner was really warm and attentive but the other staff was largely disinterested and gave out the impression they didn’t want to be there.

8/10The food was really good, apart from the bread which was quite stale. The service was poor - although the waiting staff were very nice. We waited ages to be served and had to keep trying to get their attention. We asked for a couple of sides with our main meal which never turned up. We were then asked if we wanted the dessert menu which we said yes to and that never turned up either! A shame considering the food was so good

10/10Everyone enjoyed their dinner, especially me!! The lamb chops were perfection! Our waiter was helpful in our decision making about wine and made us feel very welcome. Great place!!

10/10We had an incredible antipasti (which was altered lovingly for a vegetarian guest) and a very elegant and balanced prima piatti. We asked our hostess to reccommend a good wine from their vast selection that was within a prespecified budget and she chose a fantastic chianti that we enjoyed throughout the entire meal. Bellissima!

10/10This is a well-know restaurant and it deserves its reputation. The service and food were excellent. The staff helped with our Italian and made suggestions that were spot on. Not a traditional Italian restaurant, as there is a combination of a few classics along with some great variations that use traditional ingredients.

10/10Excellent food and wonderful service. We were welcomed with a smile and were informed about the daily' specials. Although we were not able to dine outdoor I have to say the the indoor area was even more characteristic. Don't miss this place if you're in town!

10/10We have been coming to this restaurant for some years now and it never disappoints. The food is traditional with nice added touches. Today had excellent lamb chops accompanied by corvette flan and a yoghurt and mint raita. Perfect. Can’t recommend enough
