Cozy bar, with great and generous food and a great selection of wine and other cocktails! The waiters seemed to have been understaffed that night.

I have not appreciated that they tried to let my girlfriend pay more just because she is not Italian. I live in Rome and I am Italian, if I was not there, they would not have applied the discount. I went to the cashier to review the bill. Unbelievable, they told us “you should tell us to apply the discount “.. just a Trastevere treatment

Excellent little bar. We had the cheese and meat board, and it was delicious. Lots of new flavours to try, and plenty of food for two. Great wine, and lovely service.

Really nice and authentic little restaurant. The food was really good! And the drinks were also fantastic! (The pina colada is to die for). I will definitely visit again

+1We read reviews for this place which all sounded great. We were wanting more of a tapas type meal and this ticked all of the boxes. We had the Mixed Tapas, a couple of different Bruschettas and the cheese and meat board. Food was excellent, great service and the place had a nice relaxed vibe. Would definitely go back.

We visited Essensa twice. First time was quiet and the service was good. We loved the tapas and the bruschetta choices. The lasagna was fantastic and the wine selection was great as well. Second time it was really busy and naturally the service was a bit slower but the staff was friendly. All in all, it’s a great place.

Adorable small venue with a nice selection of food and drink. We got the Essenza plate for three and couldn’t finish. Delicious. Would go back again!

everything was brilliant. We had the chef s platter and come other meals which were all delicious. the lava cake was not melted from the inside but overall we loved it!

Loved the food here. There was so much on the shared plate of meat and cheese for two that we didn’t need anything else. The waiters were very informative and had a great sense of humour. The place was quite quiet when we went but that was because at 6.30pm we were a little earlier than most diners. Great value too as we got 20% off having booked with The Fork.

Coming from the culinary industry in New York and Israel, we did a long research to find the best places to eat in Rome. We went to 40 different restaurants in Rome and had the best experience in this one. Amazing food and best service we experienced. Real authentic place. So much caring from the owner. Upgraded our trip in so many levels. Thank you!!! Don’t stop doing what you are doing
