Excellent little bar. We had the cheese and meat board, and it was delicious. Lots of new flavours to try, and plenty of food for two. Great wine, and lovely service.

We read reviews for this place which all sounded great. We were wanting more of a tapas type meal and this ticked all of the boxes. We had the Mixed Tapas, a couple of different Bruschettas and the cheese and meat board. Food was excellent, great service and the place had a nice relaxed vibe. Would definitely go back.

We visited Essensa twice. First time was quiet and the service was good. We loved the tapas and the bruschetta choices. The lasagna was fantastic and the wine selection was great as well. Second time it was really busy and naturally the service was a bit slower but the staff was friendly. All in all, it’s a great place.

If you love Tagliere (Charcuterie), you're going to love this wonderful little place. It's owned by 3 sisters and 3 husbands who put their heart and soul into everything they do. The cheeses, the meats, the dips, the accompaniments are all thoughtfully prepared and explained. We had the Tagliere Essenza for 2 and it was perfect. Several delicious glasses of wine later and it was an amazing evening. Can't wait until we're back in Rome to come again!
