10/10Spotted this place last year and made the effort to go this year, since the reviews were all positive. I have to agree with the previous reviews! Very good versions of all the traditional Roman staples, deliciously prepared and elegantly served. Loved it so much that I went twice.

10/10This little gem was absolutely wonderful! Warm welcome, delicious food, and fantastic wine. There were four of us who each ordered a different pasta and one was better than the next. Highly recommend !!!!!

10/10The restaurant is so charming the moment you step inside. The team went out of their way to accommodate my son’s food allergies. Every dish we had was exceptional. The zucchini blossom appetizer and squid ink pasta were particularly memorable. What a lovely meal to start our week in Rome!

10/10Small restaurant with a wonderful menu and great service. Serves wine by the glass or bottle, which are very nice. I noted many locals dining so it is not a tourist trap. We enjoyed our visit and would return. Because it is a smallish restaurant I recommend making a reservation,

10/10Beautiful quiet quaint cafe with excellent attentive owners. We loved the carbonara with pork cheek and loved the pork filet with artichoke. The tiramisu is delicious.

10/10This place is such a hidden gem for anyone in trastevere. Original food and amazing service. A 3 man show that is unbeatable. I have been to many places in trastevere but this place holds a special place in my heart. Especially the capillacci 🤌

10/10We love this restaurant so much we went back the next day and ate there two days in a row. It is charming and quiet, which was a lovely break from some of the touristy traps in the area. The food was outstanding, the cacio e pepe and broccolini were superb as was the tiramisu. The service was excellent, helpful but not intrusive. This is a hidden gem.

10/10The food was perfect. The server responded to learning we are vegetarians by offering to jazz up Cacio e Pepe with artichokes. The zucchini blossoms were off the chart delicious. A lovely evening all around.

8.5/10A wonderful little hosteria gem nestled on a quiet street in Trastavere, close to the bustling area near the Santa Maria Bascillica and piazza, but refreshingly removed from the throung of crowds after dark. The tastefully-decorated space is small, so I'd recommend making reservations. The crispy egg and black truffle primi was heavenly -- a true culinary revelation and one of the best things I ate in Rome. I would have appreciated a little more interaction with my server, perhaps more information about potential wine pairings, specials of the house, etc. But it was the location and the primi dish that caught my attention in the first place, walking by the hosteria on the way to nearby botantical gardens, and again, it alone was worth the visit.

9.5/10Loved this restaurant! Food was exceptional and lovely ambience. We had 2 appetizers for 3 people that were fantastic….the burrata and the salmon tartar. We all had pasta as a main dish and all were thrilled with our choices. The only recommended improvement would be for friendlier service. While the wait staff was attentive they seemed unhappy versus friendly and helpful. We still loved the restaurant as the food was so delicious and very pretty atmosphere.

9.5/10This isn’t a repeat. We returned to EVO two nights later because we enjoyed it so much. We ordered three of the save dishes included the zucchini flower and eggplant parmigiana app and a gluten free pasta with favas and guanciale. We also tried roasted octopus and the pici with red shrimp. Every dish was exceptional. Service was friendly and prompt. Excellent selection of wines by the glass

10/10We have spent at least two months in Trastevere over the past several years and have tried many of the restaurants there. I have to say I think that EVO is one of the best restaurants in that neighborhood and perhaps the entire city. We enjoyed the stuffied zucchini flowers and eggplant parmagiana as appetizers and then moved on to the maialino, carbonara, and a special pasta. All dishes were exceptional. We had wine by the glass that was excellent and fairly priced. Most significantly, my adult daughter is gluten intolerant. The restaurant had read my note in the reservation and proactively came to the table to discuss what dishes she could order and enjoy. This was excepotional service.

10/10We ordered the black truffle carbonara and the traditional carbonara...wowza!!! The best carbonara ever. So creamy, flavorful, and presentation was a 10+. Both pastas were delicious but the black truffle was the winner....but the traditional carbonara was still amazing. For desert we ordered the tiramisu... what a bite of heaven this was! This was a spectacular dinner.
