To summarise - sempre “excellentissimo”! Forget pretentious Michelins and look no further - this is the wonderful Italian trattoria, authentic, genuine cuisine! Honestly the best restaurant in Rome if you want quality genuine Italian cooking. I miss it so much and will come again when back in Roma!

YOU! YOU TOURIST READING THIS! I am from Rome alright, and do know places to eat a nice dinner. This was my first time at EVO, and EVO is now in my personal top 5 list. So don't hesitate and enjoy what I had, their cacio e pepe served with a sushi shrimp, awesome pairing!

Spotted this place last year and made the effort to go this year, since the reviews were all positive. I have to agree with the previous reviews! Very good versions of all the traditional Roman staples, deliciously prepared and elegantly served. Loved it so much that I went twice.

The restaurant is so charming the moment you step inside. The team went out of their way to accommodate my son’s food allergies. Every dish we had was exceptional. The zucchini blossom appetizer and squid ink pasta were particularly memorable. What a lovely meal to start our week in Rome!

Beautiful quiet quaint cafe with excellent attentive owners. We loved the carbonara with pork cheek and loved the pork filet with artichoke. The tiramisu is delicious.

This place is such a hidden gem for anyone in trastevere. Original food and amazing service. A 3 man show that is unbeatable. I have been to many places in trastevere but this place holds a special place in my heart. Especially the capillacci 🤌

We love this restaurant so much we went back the next day and ate there two days in a row. It is charming and quiet, which was a lovely break from some of the touristy traps in the area. The food was outstanding, the cacio e pepe and broccolini were superb as was the tiramisu. The service was excellent, helpful but not intrusive. This is a hidden gem.

The food was perfect. The server responded to learning we are vegetarians by offering to jazz up Cacio e Pepe with artichokes. The zucchini blossoms were off the chart delicious. A lovely evening all around.

A wonderful little hosteria gem nestled on a quiet street in Trastavere, close to the bustling area near the Santa Maria Bascillica and piazza, but refreshingly removed from the throung of crowds after dark. The tastefully-decorated space is small, so I'd recommend making reservations. The crispy egg and black truffle primi was heavenly -- a true culinary revelation and one of the best things I ate in Rome. I would have appreciated a little more interaction with my server, perhaps more information about potential wine pairings, specials of the house, etc. But it was the location and the primi dish that caught my attention in the first place, walking by the hosteria on the way to nearby botantical gardens, and again, it alone was worth the visit.

Loved this restaurant! Food was exceptional and lovely ambience. We had 2 appetizers for 3 people that were fantastic….the burrata and the salmon tartar. We all had pasta as a main dish and all were thrilled with our choices. The only recommended improvement would be for friendlier service. While the wait staff was attentive they seemed unhappy versus friendly and helpful. We still loved the restaurant as the food was so delicious and very pretty atmosphere.
