10/10We made our reservations on a night with terrible weather, lots of cold rain, but the house was still half-filled. The meals were elegant (we had the vegetable cream soup; I had the grilled pork and my friend had the oxtails), but the singing was the highlight. The musicians were professional and lovely; the music was a joy. Highly recommend the experience.

What an intimate and beautiful experience. Beautiful fado! My friend and came for the first time and didn’t regret for a second. Our server F. did a fantastic job, food was good, but the atmosphere is what truly gets you! Thank you for such an amazing experience and service ❤️

8.5/10The location is very nice and the crew is very friendly. Food is alright, but not high quality. Unfortunately food comes short before the first singing season, so eating while singing or waiting - means the food gets cold…😞 The FADO - singers and musicians are extremely good. High recommended to go there.. .

5.5/10Service was good. Fado music was excellent. The food overpriced, but most importantly bad. The octopus peace was small done in the flour with bacon that was overpowering any octopus taste. The next door table complaint that their clams were old, and the table from the other side that food was cold inside. Do not recommend or ever will go back.

What a beautiful place! Elegant yet homey. I did book last minute for my son and I on our last night, so I didn’t expect the best seats, however we were stuck in a corner so when the fado show began and couldn’t see anything. Also, we’re were first there but our main was served last and when the fado show began. As a sign of respect we couldn’t eat during the show so 20 minutes later our meals were cold. The music and the fado was wonderful and we would definitely do this again albeit with a few changes.

Exceptional experience - one of the best dining experiences in my life. I am well traveled, but the food and music experience at Fama d’Alfama brought me to tears. So beautiful. I cannot recommend enough. I will be talking about this for the rest of my life.

10/10The restaurant is very cosy, with many options for all tastes, and of course good wines. It allowed us to get in touch with the Portuguese "Fado", the national type of music in this great country, if I may call it so, in a show full of beautiful voices and great musicians.

The food, the service and the show were incredible. We were very thankful that we were able to get a table after there was a misunderstanding with our reservation. We had made reservations 3 months prior to our trip. We showed up at our reservation on time at 8pm and was told that we never confirmed our reservation that day when the restaurant called to confirm. While in another country I did not answer the multiple calls I was getting from all different countries, assuming they were spam calls. The restaurant did not leave a message or text or anything, so they cancelled our reservation. In the end they found us a table. But I would recommend leaving a voicemail or texting the number as there are so may spam calls before just cancelling someone’s reservations.

4/10Service was bad. We got set next to the toilet. Food quality was not great either and way overpriced. They did not let us taste the wine, only option was to buy a bottle - never heard of in Portugal. Ah and they overcharged us so we had to go back and ask them to check the bill. Very much a tourist trap - they don’t care as you never come back anyway!

We enjoyed the ambiance. The service could not have been better… Our waitress was attentive and moved us along so we would have our meal before the performance. We both enjoyed our fish dishes. The portions and taste were just right. The faddo performances were wonderful. We only wished we had some interpretation of each song - didn’t have to be a word for word translation- so we could better appreciate the emotion. The two gentleman sitting next to us were moved to tears for at least one of them. Seating was very close to people on either side … which in the end led to great conversation with another couple from the US. Highly recommend. .

10/10The atmosphere and service was excellent from the movement we walked in. Our waiter was wonderful and spoke very good English, the menu was also in Portuguese, French and English, which was a nice touch. For three people, we had the Octopus Salad, Tuna Steak and the Cod and everything was very nice and the plate size was just right. The Fado show at the end of the night (two separate performances) was a nice touch, while the price point is a bit average street price in Lisbon, in our mind, it was worth it! Make a reservation though!

8/10Staff was running around and paying attention, had to wait 15 min until someone noticed we wanted to pay. Alos, the chairs in your venue make a terrible noise every time someone pulls them in or out, which unfortunately affects the overall experience. A simple solution would be to add felt pads under each leg to protect everyone’s ears.
