I visited Kasteel Coevorden for dinner and was genuinely impressed. The ambiance is beautiful, mixing the warm, historic charm of the old castle with a comfortable modern interior. It feels cosy and special the moment you walk in. As the evening went on and the restaurant became a little busier, I did notice the tables felt slightly close together and the noise level rose a bit. It may simply be an acoustic issue that could be improved, because everything else was truly excellent. The food was absolutely scrumptious – beautifully presented and full of flavour. The service was top notch too: friendly, attentive and perfectly paced. Overall, a lovely dining experience in a stunning setting. I’d happily return.
