10/10Had the tasting menu which was great and expected of a Michelin rated restaurant, as was the impeccable service. My wife and I are celebrating our 25th and had a great time there. As tourists in Barcelona, it was very convenient to get to, just a short walk from the Liceu metro on La Rambla. Would definitely recommend for a great dining experience!

10/10Excellent experience here at this gem of a restaurant. The interior, the service and the food was all superb and we had a great evening. Last but not least they extended the service to calling us a cab which was the easiest transition back to our other hotel.

10/10Mind blown 🤯 Amazing menu at an unbelievable price with fabulous service. 9 courses for 72Euros? @fondaespanya has just slipped into my number one spot for Barcelona restaurants considering quality, price, creativity and service. Chef Martín Berasategui has created an extraordinary experience that should be an example for many other restaurants to follow. Somehow, Michelin have so far only bestowed a recommendation, not a star, yet this experience has surpassed many one star restaurants I've had the good fortune to dine at in Barcelona and it's surrounds. Highly recommended

10/10Amazing service, the staff was very nice and the food was awesome. We got the wine pairing option and the wine fit the food options very well, the restaurant was very beautiful and had a cozy atmosphere, overall it was a super experience!

6/10I feel bad about writing this review as my son and I were very impressed with our tasting menu, service and pairing wines. The problem started 6 hours later when my son (20) starting experiencing stomach cramps quickly followed by 48 hours of diarrhoea and vomiting. I myself started an hour later with the same symptoms. As we had not eaten anything else that day apart from some avocado toast it must have been food poisoning from the meal. I am a qualified nurse and recognised the symptoms easily. Such a shame when it was a special meal to mark my retirement and cost £250. The remainder of our trip to Barcelona was spent in the bathroom or recuperating. It may be worth checking if anyone else has been affected.

10/10Superb service from beginning to end. Stunning room. Elisa was the server who dealt with us most and she is an absolute star; very knowledgeable and interesting. The wine pairing (we went for the premium) was outstanding. We enjoyed every wine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

10/10It’s a 10/10 on everything. To have the same experience in other Michelin restaurants you have to pay 150-200 euros. Here the menu was set to 80 euros. The only thing to improve is that they should have their own restaurant bathroom and not the one with access to the hotel. But judging the hotel is a solid 10/10.

5.5/10We highly expected to dine at this place, however, the overall experience was a little bit disappointing. We had 9-course dinner, the food was okay, no big surprise and was lower than my expectations. The wine was very disappointing, I didn’t enjoy it at all. And there was one dish we had two broken plates! I was surprised how negligent the restaurant was.

8/10Great location and ambient. The shape of the food is the focus, followed by the test, that’s pretty good too. We took the 14 dishes menù and only 2 were notte of our taste. What leave the restaurant down is the service: 1) some plates were scratched (bread plate and black marble) 2) I had to ask for a refill of the wine: how is it possible? If you keep the ice container far from the customer then you have to be very alert

10/10This is a marvelous prix fixe restaurant and the main dining room is gorgeous. All offerings were beautifully presented and tasty! 8.5/10The weekday lunch menu for 35 EUR including water and a glass of house wine was good value and we received snacks and sweets on the house in addition to the 3 courses. We arrived a few minutes early and were told to wait in the lobby. At 13.02 staff was still conducting their briefing in the restaurant. There were many waiters running around creating some noise on the hardwood floor and our table was served by multiple different persons which created a bit of a busy atmosphere. Tables could do with some decoration, e.g. at least a candle or small flower. Overall great food and good value, but not fully the refined luxury experience we had hoped for.

10/10It was our first time in one of M. Berasategui restaurant, a chef that we admired a lot, The food was excellent, the staff was extremely attentive and on top of everything. 7.5/10We made the reservation for a set menu which turned out not be available for the time we made the reservation. The menu options were all fixed and there were no options. I would not have chosen the restaurant had I known that. The set menu we selected was varied but there were only about 30% of the items I would have cared for. I would not recommend this if you do not like fish or not adventurous. The service was okay, not what it should be for the level of cuisine they are serving. The plates were very elaborate but not so flavorful. We left disappointed.

4.5/10Third and last time I came to this restaurant. The menu don't succeed in convincing on its quality nor satisficing on its quantity. The service really try but they are unprofessional and clumsy. Its a pity, they could have been, but they are not. I don't see any Michelin* coming that way anytime soon...

9.5/10A must visit place for food lovers in Barcelona. Absolute Micheline quality of the food at very reasonable prices. Two menus were available, both very well balanced. The restaurant is located in a very nice historical building. The only thing I would change are the table covers. They doesn’t match the perfect food and quality of the restaurant. I will definitely visit it again, when I am back to Barcelona.

10/10Tasting menu is the one of the best I have experienced anywhere in the world! Very good value for the quality and innovativeness. By all means, do the wine pairing also. Lovely setting with formal ambiance add to the experience. Come dressed well, however, do not come in jeans or shorts!

10/10If this restaurant does not have a michelin star by the end of 2024 I will lose faith in the michelin rating system. Food quality was outstanding and the service to match. 100/10
