Excellent experience here at this gem of a restaurant. The interior, the service and the food was all superb and we had a great evening. Last but not least they extended the service to calling us a cab which was the easiest transition back to our other hotel.

Mind blown 🤯 Amazing menu at an unbelievable price with fabulous service. 9 courses for 72Euros? @fondaespanya has just slipped into my number one spot for Barcelona restaurants considering quality, price, creativity and service. Chef Martín Berasategui has created an extraordinary experience that should be an example for many other restaurants to follow. Somehow, Michelin have so far only bestowed a recommendation, not a star, yet this experience has surpassed many one star restaurants I've had the good fortune to dine at in Barcelona and it's surrounds. Highly recommended

Amazing service, the staff was very nice and the food was awesome. We got the wine pairing option and the wine fit the food options very well, the restaurant was very beautiful and had a cozy atmosphere, overall it was a super experience!

I feel bad about writing this review as my son and I were very impressed with our tasting menu, service and pairing wines. The problem started 6 hours later when my son (20) starting experiencing stomach cramps quickly followed by 48 hours of diarrhoea and vomiting. I myself started an hour later with the same symptoms. As we had not eaten anything else that day apart from some avocado toast it must have been food poisoning from the meal. I am a qualified nurse and recognised the symptoms easily. Such a shame when it was a special meal to mark my retirement and cost £250. The remainder of our trip to Barcelona was spent in the bathroom or recuperating. It may be worth checking if anyone else has been affected.

Superb service from beginning to end. Stunning room. Elisa was the server who dealt with us most and she is an absolute star; very knowledgeable and interesting. The wine pairing (we went for the premium) was outstanding. We enjoyed every wine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Food was delicious and refined. We were fortunate enough to try a new tasting menu. All the dishes were perfectly paired with a deep level of thought. We enjoyed every dish up to the last course. The first 7 were magical.

It’s a 10/10 on everything. To have the same experience in other Michelin restaurants you have to pay 150-200 euros. Here the menu was set to 80 euros. The only thing to improve is that they should have their own restaurant bathroom and not the one with access to the hotel. But judging the hotel is a solid 10/10.

We highly expected to dine at this place, however, the overall experience was a little bit disappointing. We had 9-course dinner, the food was okay, no big surprise and was lower than my expectations. The wine was very disappointing, I didn’t enjoy it at all. And there was one dish we had two broken plates! I was surprised how negligent the restaurant was.
