9.5/10Food was delicious and a good price for Geneva, the place was pretty empty which was sad because I want them to stay open. We tried the tofu salad, black bean beef and Sichuan chicken, and I'm dying to go back already. Was so so good and the heat hit just right. Super flavorful and very nice staff. Definitely hope they get more business, especially considering how close they are to the train station!

6/10The food was beautiful. Price was okay for Geneva. We were the only people in the restaurant and the staff sat watching videos on their phone loudly and then farted loudly twice whilst we were eating our food. Ruined the lovely meal that we had to be honest!

5/10Food quality was fine, but in Chinese restaurants you expect the portions to come very big and filling, especially for the prices they charged. So it was a bit disappointing when I left the restaurant still a big hungry after having spent over 30 Fr. per person (w/o drinks).

7.5/10This restaurant is surprisingly tiny (although I maybe should have got that from the photo! However, the food was really good, there was a large menu and it was very tasty and hot. I particularly enjoyed the crispy vegetable spring rolls and fried prawns and the fish and vegetable marmite. We had a lovely evening which ended up feeling like we had own private chef as we were the only people left in there. The service was very attentive. One thing to note, there is no wc in the restaurant, you have to be shown to a building a couple of doors down the street, go down stairs and round a basement corridor to use the one toilet. Find a toilet before you go!

7.5/10This is a cute little restaurant that we might have overlooked had other places been open, but we're pleased we went. The food was fine and the service good. Our booking made and confirmed through the 'The Fork' didn't seem to reach the restaurant, and afterwards I received a follow up email which incorrectly assumed I had made a booking and just not turned up. So in summary a good eating experience but not so great service from 'The Fork'. Here's what that follow up email said: You recently booked a table at Forêt de Bambous on Sunday, 2 january 2022 at 19:00. Unless we're mistaken, it seems that you did not fulfill your booking. Next time you cannot make your reservation, please cancel. It only takes a minute, it will free your table for another customer, and the restaurant will appreciate it. Please note that recurring cancellations may result in the removal of your YUMS points or suspension of your account. Here’s how to cancel your reservation : - Click on the "cancel my booking" button at the bottom of your confirmation email. - Or, log in to your account (online or mobile), and click on "my bookings" and then "cancel my booking" If we are mistaken and you did fulfill your booking, please let us know by clicking on the button below.

4/10Overall the food was just OK… We ordered a red curry chicken and a chicken Szechuan with vegetables. The chicken appeared to be boiled and was really rubbery and the flavor of both dishes were pretty bland I would say. A really disappointing dinner while in Geneva. The woman who helped us was very nice.

9/10Attentive service - we just had the waiter recommend all the dishes and they were great - lots of vegetables with the meat. You're going there for the food, not the decor, but in summer the outdoor seating at the back in the inner courtyard is nice and calm despite the central location. However, we somehow ended up with a bill of 80 CHF for two (one drink each and the portions aren't huge) - it's a bit too much for me to think about coming back.

10/10Delicious food with actual flavor! I’m not a fan of bland food and Forgêt de Bambous is full of real Asian flavors. We ordered the hot & sour soup, Schwann chicken, spring rolls and a beef dish that was recommended but we don’t know the name and chicken fried rice. It was so yummy!!!!

10/10We came to the restaurant last night. At first we were a little put off due to the size of the restaurant but sat down. We were amazed the service was great , lovely people and the food was absolutely gorgeous . We would definitely recommend Szechuan chicken it was outstanding.!!!!

5/10No one speaks English at this restaurant so it was tough communicating and ordering our dinner. Most customers in there were having the same issue. I understand this restaurant is popular with tourists and feel the owners should hire someone who can speak enough English to at least be able to order with a bit of ease.

9/10We had an excellent meal tonight, you could easily walk past thinking it's just a cafe but go in. It only seats 24 people. The only negatives we had were that the tables are very close together (too close) but the food made up for it. All 3 dishes we had didn’t disappoint. Some of the best Chinese food we have eaten. Most diners drink soft drinks or beer as wine is £30 a bottle and that’s the cheapest! Can’t understand when they have a lot of local wine why it is so expensive. I think if the wine was reasonably priced they would sell a lot.

7/10The food is pretty good. I suggest cantonese rice and deep fried shrimps which I really liked. The room is very small. The staff is kind and funny but only one of them spoke English (just a little bit).

9.5/10By far one of the best places in Geneva for quality/price ratio. The owners are lovely and they put a lot of passion in the dishes they prepare. All the dishes are prepared freshly and they have a very good taste. Totally recommended.

7.5/10Nice meal, given the price and this being Geneva it is solid good value. When the weather is nice do use the terrace (access around the corner). The "main" dining room (seats perhaps 12 people) can have a bit of a present fragrance.
