Everyone was very happy. It was the best restaurant I had in Lisbon. The exclusive service was very friendly, but sometimes it felt a bit serious. I hope there could be more friendliness because the seats between people were very close, which made us feel a bit restrained. All the dishes were very delicious. The only drawback was that the octopus was a bit overcooked and didn't quite suit our taste.

10/10We had the octopus and prawn risotto as our main meals and shared a dessert of custard pastry with fruit and ice cream. All were excellent, but particularly the octopus and dessert. We even agreed the dessert was probably about the best we’d ever had and we’ve had several! Service was professional and friendly and our sparkling wine was of a good standard and excellent value at €20 a bottle.

8.5/10The waiter did his best. He was able to speak many languages including Japanese for a guy next table. He was really taking care of customers. Food was quite good. Overall - worth going to.

9/10Don’t let the street and construction inform your opinion of what the food and interior of this restaurant is like. They are building a metro station in front of the restaurant and the narrow entry is not an inviting scene, but our server Natalia was lovely and the food was very good. We had the Sea Bream and the Prawn Risotto and an appetizer of bread and crab paste ( like a spread). The wine was Vinho Verde. No room for dessert!

Wix the waiter did a fine job. Interesting man. Exactly what we hoped for. Started with baked sheep cheese and a tuna appetizer with the cheese mild and the tuna a standout. I got the octopus, one get the sea bream without bones and the other the duck of which I tried a piece and it was cooked perfectly on the rare side of medium rare. The octopus didn’t need to come with a fork even at the thickest part. Finished with a pudding which turned out to be small squares of some type of flan and a vanilla ice cream, one got a chocolate ice cream and the other cheese cake (not as expected either as it was a small cup, not plated. Total bill 146 Euro.

10/10We’re on vacation in Portugal and have been to Frade dos Mares twice. The food is the best we’ve had and the service was outstanding from both Wiki (our first visit) and Tharcyl (our second). We will recommend this restaurant to all our friends planning a trip to Lisbon.

10/10Such an authentic restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. We had a fantastic meal. Food was so fresh and tasty. The service was amazing. Tharcyl, our waiter, was so helpful and attentive. Highly recommend.

10/10From the moment we got into the restaurant, we were treated well. The food was exceptional & the wine was perfection. We had the fish special of the day & the risotto. We had the fish soup on someone’s recommendation & it did not disappoint. The octopus croquettes are served on a black eyed peas salad which was amazing as well. We could not eat dessert as we were stuffed.

10/10The servers were wonderful! All of them were very friendly and attentive that make a dined in experience 100 times more enjoyable, thank you to servers at the Frade Dos Mares! The foods were all exceptional. We enjoyed all dishes which were delicious, fresh and flavorful.

+1This was our first visit to Lisbon and this restaurant. It was recommended by our hotel receptionist. We had a little difficulty finding it because there is street construction in front of the restaurant and if you do not seeing their sign, you will miss it. Our server, Ewerton (or Gwerton or Werton--it's difficult to read the card) was attentive and extremely helpful with recommendations. Our food was delicious and service impeccable. I would HIGHLY recommend.

Small space but well managed. All courses of the meal were outstanding. Prawns with Risotto and the Tuna were both outstanding dishes.
