Staff was excellent and attentive to everyone and everything. Food would be classified as superb. I’ve already recommend to friends back home. This could easily be one of my favorite places in the world to visit again and again. Staff felt like family

We waited an extraordinary amt of time for our food while other patrons who arrived after us were served. My husband ordered the sea bream with a tomato rice, it was mid at best. I had the Prawn and Sea Bream which was an utter mess of a collage of green goop with an over cooked prawn & flavor less fish. The prawn, fish and florescent green curry goop sat on top of a vinegar based finely chopped apple type salad that was ice cold with a few mussels spiked in it. The menu description mentioned absolutely nothing about apples or mussels in the composition of the dish. Not to mention pouring a ghastly green sauce over ice cold apple mince made the entire dish luke warm at best. This restaurant is clearly a tourist trap minus the pictures on the menu.We had some amazing meals while visiting Lisbon and this will not be remembered as one. I’m very suspicious about who’s leaving these 5 star reviews.

I continue to return because it is a unanimous very good food feedback that I get when I invite family or friends visiting me in Lisbon to join me at Franco dos Mares. In addition, the employees cement an overall wonderful dining experience.

Food outstanding. We had octopus and risotto and shrimp. Plentiful portion and really nicely prepared. Service was exceptional. Sampled wine before purchasing. House wine excellent. Highly recommend. Great value.

Service is great and very friendly service. Starter was excellent and the main course was very good for me. My wife had the risotto which was maybe a little bit too creamy. De vanilla ice desert with crumble was very nice and tastefully, simple but very good and full of vanilla flavor.
