One of the best dining experiences we have had in Spain, and we have eaten at multiple Michelin star restaurants in Spain over the years, in Bilbao, Dan Sebastian, Tenerife, Valencia, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, and Seville. Gioia was special. We had the prix fixe menu and it was a delight. The bread was astonishingly good and we knew right away we were in for a treat, especially with the mouthwatering away of butter and olive oils that came with it. The service was excellent. They provided information in both Spanish and English for us and answered any questions we had about the ingredients and the wine. We are looking forward to eating there again when next in Madrid!

Amazing italian gourmet food! Good service and atmosphere. In old neighborhood, walking distance from Gran Via.

The tasting menu was really amazing. It is probably one of the best I have ever tasted. The Wagu, seafood with soup, and pigeon were so good. The wine pairing was excellent. The only drawback is that the speed of serving each dish was a bit hasty. That made me a bit in a hurry to finish each tasting dish. It should be in a more relaxed pace. Otherwise, The Gioia really made me full of joy in enjoying their fine dining.

It's much more than just going to a restaurant, it's a complete experience. The menu of the day is highly recommended because it gives you the right dose of flavors to fully enjoy your entire dinner.

The space is nice but got an attitude vibe early on. I said I was interested in tasting a wine and the server came and poured and I thought it was a heavy pour for a taste but it was the pour, no taste here. The wine was ok but super overpriced for what amounted to an average wine. The carbonara which is a specialty was not special. Disappointed since all our other meals in Madrid were so good with wonderful teams at each restaurant. This one was not so nice.

Tucked away from a main street, this place is a must visit. Staff are excellent and place is great. Food is the best there is. Extremely well priced. Do not miss it. Would recommend for only adults as kids would probably not enjoy it.

Everything was very good and served at just about the correct intervals. I had the tasting menu for 75€ (wine and water not included). The restaurant is Italian, but don't expect typical Italian dishes. Except for the pasta carbonara, the food is more fusion type. It is not a flaw, but for those who may expect more of an Italian type, you know what to expect. If anything on the more negative side, I would prefer one more salty dish and one less sweet dish (3 sweet things are too many for me, and they were a bit too sweet).

Great dinner! My husband and I enjoyed the Vuela tasting menu - it was really delicious, very high quality ingredients and the variety of tastes was just perfect!!! We had also a bottle of Barolo (red wine) so to sum up we just had a lovely birthday celebration!

Any time I come back to the restaurant is a pleasure and an explotion of tastes. it is not sn expensive restaurant according to the quality and freshness of the food. Waiters are excellent and the only thing I don't like is how it is decorated but it doesn't matter when the food is so good.

E ven though the place is not so nice food is incredible and people (waiters and the chef) are so gentle and they are always alert to any of our necessities. The wine offer is very good and the quality, presentation and taste of food is very good. I am always recommending this restaurant because it deserves it.

The place is quiet so you can talk without efforts. The waiters were very helpful and q the y are very kind without being heavy. Food is incredible, delicious, fresh and very original proposals. I would return several times so as to eat other options of the menu.

We got the fix menu (for 55€, there is also a smaller and cheaper one) and had a great time. If you go by a la carta, don't miss the Pasta with truffle - it is the one that recommended also by the chef. Thank you for wonderful dinner.

Excellent Italian food with a creative twist! Black truffles are added to some dishes, which really enhance the flavor of the food. We had the special menu, which was fabulous. The tagliolini with truffles and cheese was the star dish for us, as well as the poached egg with truffles. The tiramisu was excellent. Highly recommended!

We dined here on a very hot evening in Madrid and were the only patrons in the restaurant until shortly before we left. The quietness must have been due to the weather because this restaurant deserves to be full every day of the week. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Tasty amuse bouche on arrival. One of us had the spinach and ricotta ravioli to start followed by a fillet steak. The other a mixed salad followed by the ravioli The pasta is home made and was as good as it gets. Steak was beautifully cooked and artistically plated. Portions were ample. Check, including a bottle of Mafia di Puglia chardonnay was €100. Highly recommended.
