10/10+2I chose Glass Hostaria for my 30th birthday dinner while visiting Rome. It did not disappoint. I chose the tasting menu and wine pairing. Each dish was so thoughtfully created and plated. The wines were all delicious and paired elegantly with the designated course. I particularly enjoyed the main course pork dish and the pasta course. Chef Bowerman took her time to greet each table and inquire about their evening and experience. The entire night made it evident why this restaurant has been granted a Michelin star.

4.5/10Service was okay until mains we then finished our mains which weren’t cleared away for 30 mins then had to wait for another 40 mins for the dessert to be served total was nearly 1h20 from mains to dessert. We mentioned this and gave us a glass of fizz each FOC but dosent really do much to help. The food in general was well cooked and throughly enjoyed but the service and seemingly lack of staff to cover was a real shame

10/10Incredible service, food and ambiance. A nice break from the chaos of the neighborhood. I love when food can be creative and elevated without the stuffy environment. Gorgeous dishes with an incredible palate, always something that’s surprising or unexpected. Will absolutely recommend, this was the eating highlight of our two week trip.

10/10This place was amazing! We're not super well versed in this type of cuisine, and it was so exciting. The food was bizarre and so fun! The experience was great; our waiter helped us to pair wonderful wines with our food, the chef came out to chat with us, and we got to try so many little bites. Spherical Bloody Mary? Passion fruit curd shaped like an ear of corn? They put miso in what? Delightful!

The staff demonstrated impeccable attention to detail, and the food's presentation, taste, and bold flavors exceeded our expectations. We visited shortly after our engagement in Rome when we were both tired and hungry. However, leaving the restaurant, we felt revitalized and refreshed, realizing this is exactly what a perfect dining experience should entail. Opting for the 6-course tasting menu, we embarked on a delightful journey that tantalized both our taste buds and minds. Chef Cristina fearlessly challenges culinary norms, crafting unparalleled flavors. For anyone visiting Rome, this restaurant is a must-add to their itinerary. It has now become a cherished place for us, and we look forward to dining here every time we return to Roma!

9.5/10Beautiful spot in the vibrant Travestere area with elegant high ceilings, innovative takes on classic Italian dishes ( raviolis are killer - do not miss them at any cost!) and personal service by an attentive caring staff results in a simply stellar dining experience. Epic Wine list is full of hidden gems and the price fixe is fair value. Having done both Al la carte and prix fixe I can say quality is all over. I’d like to see a salad option but each dish is a winner across the board imho. Garden area in front is a quiet buffer in this dynamic area.

9/10Overall, nice ambience and impeccable and unpressured service (not an eyelid batted that we are teetotal, for instance). It is mandatory to choose two mains, I chose Duck, and Shrimps. Between the two, that was quite filling, especially as 3 free small taster plates are provided too. All of the food was tasty, immaculately presented and with novel flavours. The single most memorable thing was actually the complimentary ultrathin crispbread with many carraway seeds embedded. I really liked that. Meeting the chef Cristina Bowerman afterwards was a nice treat, and I liked that she didn't ask me about the food because I'm such an airhead I would have clean forgotten what I'd just eaten in the moment, like a rabbit in the headlights. You can also buy two of her books at the restaurant. The only part of the decor that is not perfect is the (archaic and not used) door at the far right corner on the right .... it has rust flaking off it and looks like it would be in place on a long-abandoned ship. I'd replace that, it doesn't fit with everything else. For two people, if you're not boozers and just choose two mains like us, expect to spend about 150 euros total, and leave 15 for the service. So that's about the minimum you'd spend here. More with pudding, starter, or if you go for the tasting menu.

10/10The staff was very nice and welcoming. They helped us chose a wine that paired amazingly with the dishes. They were very accommodating with our food restrictions. The food was exceptional. Different textures using Italian dishes but putting a spin on them. Nice mixture of veggies, meats, and seafood. We took the tasting menu and the portions were just right. The head chef was so kind and greeted and chatted with every table. This was a new experience for us and was an extra touch that we were very appreciative of.

Dear Daisy, you sent an email trying to cancel the reservation at 1.15 of the day of your reservation because your husband was not feeling well and asking not to be charged the no show fee. Then, when the no show fee appeared on your credit card, you called and ask to reinstate your reservation which we accepted (mistake we won't make again) and finally came. We were all very glad to see that your husband was perfectly fine. Since your first step into the restaurant your behavior was clearly hostile and your review is a revenge review. We would like for you to think for a second on how wrong it is to slam on professionals who work hard, study hard and do their best to make people happy. Even if it is for few hours.

5/10We expected more from this restaurant when rated as a One star Michelin establishment, but were disappointed over the food and service. BTW we had the Glass tasting menu. The wine list was very extensive and good. I compared this experience to another Michelin restaurant we visited in March in Porto Portugal, Antiqvvm, The Antiqvvm deserved 3 stars in comparison with Glass Hosteria. The price at both places was at the same level, as we had both tasting menues.

9/10The service was wonderful, but the food was not altogether what we expected for a Michelin star and $200 per person with the wine, some sparkling water, and espressos. We had the tasting menu - we were able to swap a couple of dishes between the regular and vegetarian tasting menus which was nice. A few of the dishes were amazing - especially the Parmesan Ravioli with Truffles. Other dishes were either under seasoned or needed acid or umami. If we were to go back I recommend the a la crate menu.

10/10Glass Hostaria is an oasis of refinement in the busy and trendy Trastevere neighborhood in Rome. My party of four elected the tasting menus: 2 standard and 2 vegetarian. It's important to note that the vegetarian tasting menu is NOT an afterthought. It's a testament to Cristina Bowerman's culinary vision and mastery of different culinary traditions that we were constantly arguing which of the tasting menus was better. The service was excellent and bilingual (Italian/English) and the wines suggested by the staff were all excellent. Cristina made the rounds and was very personable and happy to talk about everything she's been doing to promote female chefs. The space itself is beautiful without distracting from the meal. We left the restaurant feeling like we had had a tremendous meal at our friends house. What a great experience!

8.5/10Food was inventive, but not as tasty as we expected. The snails were a bit overcooked and buried in potato puree and the flavors did no always mesh that well in other ones. With that said, it certainly is a good restaurant, the wine list is small but interesting, and, again, this is a place of experimentation, which is always chancy, so we do appreciate it.

10/10We went for lunch on an extremely hot day. It was an exceptional experience. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was delightful. The service was excellent, and they kindly sat us right next to the AC vent, the coldest part of the room. Bravo!

10/10This restaurant is a MUST if you stop in Rome. The neighborhood of Trastevere only enhances the ambience and experience here. The staff is lovely and welcoming and the Chef is phenomal, implementing much of her personality into the dishes and the restaurant. The tasting course is a must here, with my favorites being the Donkey tartare, Childhood pasta, and Duck breast. I definitely be returning on my next trip!
