9/10Service was very nice - quick and very professional. Food was delicious - dessert portions were a bit small but expensive.

10/10This is a fine restaurant for excellent and mouth watering Nepalees and Indian Cuisine. The atmosphere is cost suited both for romantic and family atmosphere. It has been named Top 10 restaurants in Nepalees cuisine in the Netherlands. Definitely recommended to try Dhal Bhat, Momos and Veg Khulfi. You don't wanna miss Dal Roti!

8/10Food was good, service was good. Stunning spacious restaurant. I am a novice to NL, so trying out the foods. There was a 30% discount on Food and it stated not on drinks and set menu. We ordered starters and main meal and a side. Was disappointed when I discovered that I only got discount for 2 meals and 1 starters. Waa also charged for pappudum which was delivered to us on arriva and it was halxes. I have never paid for arrival snacks in my life..Why not be upfront and let one decide. It was cheaper to take a set menu with 3 courses than individual meal. Advice; be honest and if you have a special, be upfront with your customers.

4/10Still fuming over this experience. We ordered off the English menu, which we were told had outdated pricing. We ended up getting the 3-person sharing menu (listed as €75), which according to our menus, said we’d get a list of foods, including some naan bread, two desserts, etc. We didn’t get our bread, so we asked for it. The waiter seemed surprised, but brought it anyway. Then we only got one of the desserts, and when we asked about the other, the waiter explained that there had been some confusion because the new version of the menu we ordered only comes with the one item. When we got the bill, it included some surprises, like water we never ordered, beer we never ordered, and €5 for our naan—and the price had gone up from €75 to €90! When we complained that this wasn’t the deal, the waitress left and came back with the Dutch menu to “prove” that actually, this was correct. She took off the spa rood that we never ordered or received, but told us it was possible to take off the naan bread since it wasn’t a part of our menu and it was an extra for us. We also realized after leaving that we paid for a Heineken we never ordered or received. The food was tasty, but the service was not good—we had to wave at waiters to get them to fire our next course (even when we sat at an empty table for 15 minutes at one point) and to order more drinks. Overall, we felt like our table had been forgotten over and over again. None of us will not be back, and the experience with the bill was bad enough that I’m happy to tell anyone else about my experience. It’s ridiculous that a waiter would give clients an outdated menu without explaining what’s changed, and then making an effort to prove them wrong to wring out an extra €5.

9/10Fairly well decorated venue. Starters of dumplings and hot wings were both good followed by the main dish of spicey curry full of flavor. Service was friendly and we paid close to 90 EUR for two including soft drinks and coffee. Will definitely return

10/10We had a very enjoyable evening. The food was good and the service even better. We got explanations about Nepal and the local foods. We were helped very well. Although it took a little long before we received our dinner it was worth the wait. And we enjoyed ourselves anyhow. The atmosphere breaths the hard work of a family owned restaurant. We will be back.

10/10What a wonderful find! Family owned restaurant with genuine Nepalese food. The chefs are mom and dad and the servers are the son, daughter and their 'adopted' Dutch brother. Super service (they even helped us with a problem with our car!). The food was great, restaurant super clean. Best of all, they have a fabulously interesting story about immigrating to Holland. We live in Amsterdam but will make the trip back just to go there. Dankjwel for a really nice experience.

9.5/10The Gorkha Restaurant is a great choice for people who love Nepali/Indian traditional food. I visited the restaurant with my partner and we both are from India. We ordered Veg platter for 2 people which included starters (veg momos and 1 samosa), 2 veg thalis and 2 desserts. The thali includes 3 dishes and rice. One recommendation for guests is to try whole wheat roti which is simply superb! Also, the Mango kulfi is must if this is not a part of your meal. Overall, excellent food with great hospitality! Highly recommended :)

10/10The restaurant, created and ran by a Nepalese family offered us a nice trip to Nepal while in Hilversum. Great food and drinks and complete background stories on all dishes. What a great evening!

10/10The Ghorka restaurant gives a touch of truly being in Nepal. The food was amazing, and we have tried everything from all their variety of chutneys together with Papadam, to Samosas, nepalesian dumplings, fish and chicken starters, to Dal Bhaat Kip - a mix of different interesting dishes (Dal, Spinach Curry, Chicken Curry, pickles, as well as rice, salad, and joghurt sauce), and also Mango Lassi (I fell in love with it!) . It reminded me back to my holidays in northern India once. Also the waiters were really friendly and helpfull, and didn't hesitate to explain us what would be the typical nepalesian food. I myself am a chutney lover, and they refilled all the chutneys several times for me, so I felt like being in heaven! Definitely best dinner in Hilversum!
