The food, beer, ambiance and service were all top-notch. We especially liked the in-house triple. We traveled to Belgium on a beer pilgrimage, and this was a great find to end our trip!

Be sure to check the bill, this restaurant cheats and adds dishes to the bill that you did not order. When we approached the administration with these questions, we did not receive any explanation. There is cold water in the toilet and no way to dry your hands. There are no towels or hand dryer. I do not recommend this restaurant.

This was an excellent choice for our first meal in Brussels. We have three children from 11-15, and the Grimbergen had many options to appeal to everyone. We shared our meals around so everyone got to try different things, and it was all delicious. My husband’s Flemish stew was rich with tender beef, the sausages with garlic mash were paired with flavourful gravy, and the children’s spaghetti was also very good with lots of freshly grated cheese to sprinkle over. The beers were quite delightful - I am not a beer drinker by habit but the Grimbergen Magnum Opus was lovely, and my husband enjoyed the Grimbergen Blonde. The ice-cream based desserts were tasty (the speculoos was a big hit, as was the citron sorbet). The servers were friendly and had great recommendations, but they were quite busy so service was a bit slow later in the evening. The patio seating would have been perfect except for occasional wafts of cigarette smoke from nearby. Overall, a great experience.

Very nice place and excellent food, We tried the rabbit and the flemish beef. and the beer.. Huge portions. Fast service, we ate 14 hungry people :) in one hour, a la carte. Thank you so much, it was a great start for our stay in Brussels. I strongly recommend this place. Diana & the Romanian group

I loved that the restaurant was situated away from the main tourist traps, seating outside was good and inside seating and decor is also rather nice. Staff was nice , efficient and polite which , lets be honest , can be a challenge for some restaurants in Brussels. Food was average , not the best i have had but not the worst either . Considering the speed with which our food appeared I’m not surprised, if i could make one suggestion it would be to take your time and put a good quality dish on the table.

We had Carbonnade Flamande which was delicious. However, the fries that were served with it were floppy and soft - very disappointing from a Belgian restaurant. The waiters insisted that it was not possible to pay by credit card - until we pressured them and then, suddenly, it was indeed possible.

This restaurant publishes prices at their website which are about 30% lower than the menu indicates once you are seated. This is misleading. We had two croquettes as a starter, a plain plate with some stew and mediocre fries, 1 glass of wine and paid 130 EUR for two. The food was served within 15 minutes , so the total dinner took us 45 minutes and we could leave.

The food was good, a little expensive (the day after we ate similar food in a similar restaurante and the price was 30% lower). The restaurante doesn't work with Credit cards (something really weird in these days) and it does'n annoice the situation properly.

The food was very good and tasty. We had jamboneau with mashed potatoes and it was excellent. There is some work to do with the attitude of the waiters, which is borderline with being rude and not caring.

Big portions and okay service. Nothing special but decent value for money. You’ll be seated quite close to a road if you’re outside but the street wasn’t too busy with cars.

The food was just ok, not bad, but ok. It would be really good if The Fork had more real information on the booking site, like the fact that this restaurant does not accept Visa or Mastercards. I feel like this should be disclosed at booking.

We went earlier than the reservation time. They didn't mind it. It was a very nice service and everything was very nice. We tried 3 dishes on the menu. All were delicious. Our favorite was the stew.

It was a disappointing experience. They were not taking credit cards despite the credit card machine sitting on the bar next to the computer. The steak was undercooked and not very good. The fries were not fresh. Our kids didn't even eat them. The flemish beef stew was too thick.

Fast and not very customer oriented service, 30 minutes wait in half empty place, several errors without excuse or saying „Sorry“. Food was ok, but not delicious.
